    Printing embryonic stem cells

Not sure how much more I'll up the thread. I have learned over the years that science dedicated threads do not spark conversation anymore.

Would be interesting to see how different the results might be if their simulation looked more realistic than a Dreamcast game.

Big Rock gonna miss us by 15K

500,000 such things we call Near Earth Asteroids. The only thing keeping us from exploiting them for benefit instead of being afraid of them ending life on Earth is corporate launch costs.

I think his stance is primarily HUMAN life or current ecosystems, not life as a broad category

    3-d printed cars

I wonder if the Big Three are looking into this sort of thing.

    Neuromancer anyone?

Implants, brain hacking, wireless potential. I do not think people will do this in large numbers unless what gets put in can be easily removed. In other words, what happens when you want to give that up for awhile? Do you want your Matrix holes permanent? How do you updrade hardware?

Yeah, this is one of those things that I think is probably a great idea, but I'd never sign up for. I like my thoughts right where they are, inside my own head.

Interesting, but I'll wait until the technology is well proven and established.

It's not as bad as you think! More of an immediate looting problem.

Maybe for those of us fortunate enough to live in the first world who would have the means of survival. The majority of Africa, South America and Asia? Dead.

Oh and some in the first world too....since there would inevitably be an era of constant warfare for survival. Would wind up being like Max Max at night on Planet Hoth.

And quite frankly, I don't know if I want to live on a world without plants. To quote a certain Geoffrey Rush character...."That pistol starts to look mighty friendly".
