Full Series The *Official* Barriss Offee in The Clone Wars thread (general discussion)

Yeah if you try to find, Shirtless Jedi you get tons and tons and tons of porn.

 

This is going to be a real short thread.

 

You do a search for just about anything clone wars related and you hit porn. I think I did a search for "barriss microseries" or something like that to try and find a picture of her from that show to see how similar the models were, and if you scroll down far enough, yeah you hit porn. My personal favorite was trying to find a picture of Palpatine and coming across a picture of him from ROTJ with a naked woman photoshopped in on all fours off to the side. That was random enough to make me laugh.

 

Challenge Accepted?

 

All things considering most of it centers around Ahsoka,Barriss,Chuchi and Panda Bear.

 

Anyone else think she is the fallen jedi?

 

Yeah, I'm suspecting that.

 

I pray this isn't the end of Barriss, hopefully she can get out somehow and end up being a new baddie

 

It will be very interesting to see where they go with her character now! I hope we see more of her.

 

Barriss will probably go the way of Slick. A traitor trying to make a stand, never to be seen again. =(

 

I sincerely hope Barriss escapes some how or is put in Prison ala Darth Vader Ghost Prison comic.

 

Maybe the Jedi will put her in the Citadel. The equivalent of Azkaban for Jedi.

 

Uh...wasn't that destroyed? Plus the Prism held more than just fallen Jedi.

 

If it was, seems they could have it rebuilt by now. Some kind of Jedi prison sounds like a good idea.

 

Which is what the Prism is. Hell the Citadel is IN CIS SPACE

 

^The Prism is a better name than the Citadel, I'll give it that.

Seems to me that Barriss is pleased to be a martyr. She doesn't seem like the type to join the baddies just to get back at the Order. She'll likely not be seen again and be assumed to be in jail or executed.

 

I didn't like her "I think they suit me" line about the red lightsabers. That made her seem rather.. Krellish.

 

Not pain, pleasure then the feeling of shame and regret.

 

^^I agree...that totally made her look like a Dark Side convert but then her comments to the trial made it not seem that way. Or maybe that was BS she fed them to cover it up. Kinda hard to say. I do wonder if we'll see her again though...only way would be if someone busts her out.

 

Its unambiguous if Barriss was a true darkside convert at this time. TCW actually did a good job of making Bariss sound like she has come up with her scheme to act out against the Jedi order all of her own accord. The whole thing was about attacking the order itself and widening a chasm between the senate and the Jedi Order. And Barriss will have helped with perpetuating the Jedi's eventual destruction. From the point of view of a citizen watching this on their datapads over the holonet or whatever it would look like the Jedi order is really ****** up. I mean if I were a spectator and didn't have any omnipresence it would look like the Jedi are attacking one another. And these are the guys I'm expecting to fight a war and protect me? Not so much...

Coming back to my earlier post there is alot of potential foreshadowing in "Brain Invaders" when Ahsoka and Barriss are eating together. The Jedi are peace keepers and not soldiers. Who knows what will happen to the Jedi afterward? Barriss came to realize the Jedi had fallen and were being used by the corrupt Senate as living weapons to bring destruction. Its a total shame TCW has not shown anything easily recognizable as evil that the Jedi are doing. However starting in season 4 we have seen where the Jedi are cutting down living opposition and they are always at the forefront of planetary invasions like Umbara. Many Umbarans ended up prisoners and whose to say what happened to them.

I'm still impressed with the way Barriss's confession was handled where she looked like she was about in tears. I could feel sincerity. This isn't a person who does what she does for ***** and giggles. This is someone who feels real regret for the people she's burned in her schemes. Yet Barriss feels completely justified as she turned her speech into loud finger pointing at the Jedi trying desperately to get everyone in the room to see what she sees about the Republic being to far gone and the Jedi being just weapons of the republic.

I think that would be pretty damning to the protesters we saw earlier. The council's PR move has backfired monumentally. Its looks even more like the Jedi are responsible for the continuation of the war to gain power by how they serve the senate like dogs of GAR. The way credits are thrown away to give them more and more soldiers to fight this war while they can't take showers anymore. One of them was even killing as many expensive clones as he could. People can't separate the Jedi from their old roles as peace keepers. The Jedi should be able to just stop this civil war at any time peacefully. Instead they are fighting with themselves and holding onto power.
