Cad Bane does he contradict the EU

Chiss are near-Duros. And they don't have red eyes, they have glowing red eyes. Unlike Cad Bane, who has normal red eyes like the Duros in Chalmun's Cantina

 

Has anyone considered the possibility that Cad Bane may be near-Experiment 626 from the movie "Lilo and Stitch," and therefore a creation of evil scientist Jumba Jookiba, who himself looks suspiciously like Dexxter Jettser, except Dexter has four arms, JUST LIKE STITCH? The Mouse House does own both licenses, you know. I wouldn't put it past them to have subtly dopped the hint years ago, like they did with Boo from "Monsters, Inc." growing up to be Bonnie at the end of "Toy Story 3."

 

That would actually be pretty cool....

Yes! The new main character can be a Duros and they can call him Duros Skywalker! And it can be one of the Duros from Chalmun's Cantina in Episode IV!

 

Of course it would be one of the Duros from Chalmun's Cantina because all Duros are the same flow-walking Chiss remember.

 

Science marches on so fast in this thread, you can't expect us to remember all the details. It wasn't that long ago when we thought that Duroi were slow cold-blooded reptiles that lived on swamps because they were so big their legs couldn't keep them up. That's where the misunderstanding "Cad Bane contradicts the EU because he's so fast and more like a bird since he can fly" comes from.

 

Which of course would make him a Night-Soarer, which are also blue, so yeah! YEAH!

But we forgave Zahn for not knowing the timeline of the Clone Wars when he wrote TTT, so we can forgive him for not knowing Duros don't have noses.

 

You don't arch noses, you arch eyebrows. And Zahn's characters do that a lot. It's just a typo.
