Best Star Wars Video Game Score

I love the soundtracks from the 90s videogames Dark Forces, X-Wing and TIE-Fighter...I don't know, I just love this MIDI sound

And the Shadows of the Empire soundtrack is also very cool, especially the one with Xizor's theme

 

Yeah I like the KOTOR soundtrack quite a bit. It's nostalgic.

 

I have to go with the KOTOR I theme. It brings back memories.

It's one of the few times where I wish I had the original X-Box.

 

Shadows of the empire is a great soundtrack. I also like the force unleashed soundtracks, original.

 

The Old Republic's soundtrack is great. But I love the first Kotors as well. Probably about a tie for me. Bastila Shan's theme is probably my all time favorite from Kotor, gives me chills.

 

I really enjoyed the scores in KOTOR 1 and 2.

I'm going with shadows of the empire, but that is probably more the nostalgia factor than anything.

 

Not only does KOTOR have the best score, it's also the best Star Wars game in my opinion.

Shadows of the Empire by a wide margin. It's almost good enough to be a proper Star Wars score, but not quite.
I admire Mark Griskey's work on KOTOR 2 for the most part. There are many entertaining musical ideas, it just doesn't gel like it should. Themes are introduced but aren't properly integrated into the score, making it all feel disjointed. It's still several steps above the original KOTOR soundtrack which was a huge missed opportunity in my opinion. There are so many memorable characters in the first KOTOR and none of them receive any memorable thematic identities.

 

My favorites are Kotor 1 and 2. I especially love the darker themes of 2. Republic commando is also a favorite of mine.

 

The force unleashed score is cool

 

It's a battle between Battlefront 2 and The Force Unleashed 2 for me. Battlefront 2 has fantastic long term playability, to the point where i've just paid £40 to get a copy for my xbox 360 but I love TFU2 because FINALLY there's a Star Wars game where lightsabers can slice limbs as they should.

 

SWTOR is my favorite, and I also think it's the best SW video game score I've heard.

As a 90s gamer at heart, I'm always partial to the Dark Forces and TIE Fighter soundtracks.

 

this theme is probably the most memorable facet of this game...

 

Shadows of the Empire. A lot of the tracks are on youtube. I listen to them frequently. If you want to check them out, keep in mind that the game soundtrack differs a great deal from the soundtrack that was made as part of the overall Shadows of the Empire project, where they wanted to do everything they would do for a movie just without the movie. So make sure it's the actual tracks used in the game. I'd post them all but there's too many and it would take up a lot of space.
