I don't think I've ever seen more than 2" or 3". 14" I'd think it was the apocalypse!

 

The awesome part comes when because of the freezing weather I just drove through he lets me put on the Chewie costume and ride shotgun with him.

 

Philly has had lovely Irish weather this week. Cloudy and cool, but without freezing or dropping hellish frozen precipitation. Shorts with sweatshirt weather.

 

Well yeah... you can't expect him to make a dangerous escape without his trusty sidekick. Someone has to wear the damn thing...

 

Wha...? Sonja, don't do this to me. The local Criswell snake oil salesman guesser meterologists keep saying it will turn into rain...

 

Don't forget toilet paper. In North America, 2 days of snow somehow causes mass dysentery.

 

You have no idea how awful this phenomenon actually is in NYC. Incidentally, it's also kinda hilarious.

Not, not the gun part. That's never funny here. In the south, OTOH.

 

It's infinitely better when every winter, SHOVELS sell out. Do people think they are disposable? Do that many shovels getted tossed out after a usage? How does the entire populace of a major metropolitan region somehow not own a shovel every single winter...

 

Right before Sandy, you'd have thought they were never gonna make bread again the way people were scooping it off the shelves like crazy. Of course, a third of Manhattan did end up losing power, but that's beside the point.

And I've had the same shovel for about 5 years. Plus an older one as well. It's just like whenever it rains people always end up buying cheap umbrellas from street vendors.
