OOC Senate Aflame OOC/Discussion Thread

If anyone would likely get a big influx of another factions citizens as refugees it would probably be the NP. Abydos is somewhat sparsely populated, and Hapes is probably the controller of the biggest single bit of territory. But like Sinre said, that's something that shouldn't come up for awhile.

 

How about we try not to over-complicate things right now and keep it simple until me and Bardan figure out the details....

 

After a bit of discussion here is the way we are going to work the fleets/armed forces. Both Chewbie and I agreed this is for the best going forward.

Fleet strengths, task forces and whatnot will be left up to the discretion of the GMs so as to keep maximum flexability for storytelling purposes. All three factions currently operate roughly equal forces. However, the forces of the different factions will balance out in different ways.

• The NGE has more in sheer numbers in terms of ships, fighters, equipment and personel. Basically more of everything.
• The Rebels lack numbers but have far superior fighter and ground based combat effectiveness on a per unit level.
• The Neutrals utilize unique, out of the box thinking for their capital ships which gains them an advantage on a per unit basis in fleet combat.

Also we will be keeping things as close to canon as possible. Hapes strength is its fleet, Mandalore is its soldiers and so on.

 

I like it.

 

I approve and support this. It is a good way to balance the power between the three factions.

Weaponry wise, it has:

LTL's/Anti-fighter: 372 turrets=744 guns. (though these aren't much use for anything but fighters)

MTL's: 45 turrets=90 guns

HTLs: 32 Dual Turrets= 64 guns+ 15 ISD-II type Turrets=120 guns. 184 overall

MDC (Mass Driver Cannon): 2 Heavy Bow Mounts

Not sure on the length/width yet, other than it being bigger than an ISD. For instance, the 'wings' have 5 of the ISD-II's flank turrets. So that makes them slightly wider than the length of an ISD's flank batteries. And remember that this is just a one-off ship. Unless there is precedent for needing more, its staying that way.

 

How do you make the images?

 

Blender. Takes a bit of getting used to, but it can make things like that.
