It is reasonable for the Empire to punish Kalee after the Clone Wars. Grievous was one of the number one enemies of the Republic.

Except of course they really were still doing the bidding of the guy running the Republic :p

I was really pleased to see that Kaleesh Stromtrooper that popped up in Legacy. I like the idea of Kalee being a a part of the Pellaeon Empire and beyond.

I would love it if they published a comic/novel about Thrawn being sent to Kalee to round up the resistance movement led by Sk'ar.
Ultimately, Thrawn would become to respect Sk'ar and the Chiss comander would introduce him in the army.

Somehow I don't think Thrawn got fond of the Kaleesh.

    It would be interesting though.

It would be intresting to see Kaleesh vs Noghri. But if Thrawn was up against Grevious i would say Thrawn hands down in a battle or the mind,But if they fought hand to hand i figure that Grevious would win.

I dunno, Thrawn couldnt't understand his art so was Thrawn's tactical advantage gone? Grievous, in addition to being a cunning warrior, was also a skilled fighter pilot.

Also Thrawn would never fight him hand to hand.

I'd still say Thrawn in a fleet battle, but in a fair fight it might not be as lop sided as one might think.

Remember, prior to TCW cartoon, Grievous was actually pretty capable in everything he did.

Robimus: Prior to TCW cartoon... I like that! :)

Somehow, I think the Kaleesh would be very good guerrilla fighters. Striking from the shadows (well, I mean from the jungles of Kaleesh), attacking Imperial patrols. Imagine: what if the Kaleesh killed an Imperial Commander who was stationed on Kalee. Since Thrawn was not a grand admiral back in the day, he could be sent to Kalee to help round up the Kaleesh resistance and come up against Sk'ar. Most of the battles would take place on the ground (a bit like in the short story in which Thrawn defeated Nuso Esva).

sg1a: Noghri against Kaleesh, that would be overkill!

I never got why the Republic did not strike against Kalee and Serenno during TCW. Grievous and Dooku were the most influential CIS leaders, so why not attack their home planets? By the way, it would make some great story lines! I see the Republic striking at Kalee and Grievous becoming furious!

Allright what about this , i don't think i bought this up.

Grevious fights a Noghri , instead of kaleesh vs noghri. I think it would be intresting. It would be more of a fight i think the Noghri might put up a decent fight.

And General immodet- I think that would have been a good move on the Republics part. To attack the homeplanets of Dooku and Grevious.

I don't know if I have ever thought of the Kaleesh as accomplished hand to hand combatants the way I think of the Nohgri. As Immodet mentions, tha Kaleesh were clearly fierce guerrilla type fighters. It could be interesting to be sure.

Vader gave Thrawn the opportunity to use his Noghri warriors after they succesfully completed a mission around the Battle of Hoth (the mission in which Thrawn dressed up as Jodo Kast). So, do you think Thrawn used Noghri warriors ever since then or did he just use them when he returned from the Unknown Regions?
I know this has not much to do with the Imperial Remnant, but still I think it is relevant in the things we were talking about lately.

I don't think he would have had them along in the Unknown regions.

    That's hilarious! ;)
It remembers me of the whole "Plagueis was drunk. He had too much Muunshine.)" thing on the DP thread.

    Jawa's are cool.

I recently read Tyrant's Fist which features Major Oniye Namada. As a character I think she had a lot of potential.

She is kinda your typical noble Imperial, and it mentions that she has a daughter back home(where ever that is). I think she would have fit in well with the Bastion lead Empire.

I read the comic as well! I very much like all the comics set in the time period right after ROTS since it combines both elements of the OT and the PT.
Unfortunately, we will probably never see Namada again.

I do believe many Imperials were noble. Those who were not, were manipulated by the Sith or had experienced bad things in their lifetime.
Some comics and novels have done a great job showing that not everything is black and white.
Characters such as Pellaeon, Namada, Sunber, Fel and Tohm come to mind.
