The movie version of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. The series was so much better, but sometimes it's fun to look at the campiness of Fox's horrid movie version before Joss had a chance to do what he wanted to do with Buffy in the series proper.

 

Total Recall....not the ridiculous remake that I haven't seen.

 

The extended version is better.

 

Starship Troopers. It has a paper thin plot and campy acting. Its brutal, gory, hyper-violent and it has a (barely censored) co-ed shower scene.

 

One of my friends is in that movie. She's the singer in the band at the prom.

 

Flight of the Navigator. Although that was when I was younger. Jackie Chan's Hong Kong-produced rolls, most notably such gems as Who am I, Mr. Nice Guy, Gorgeous and the dramatically titled Jackie Chan's First Strike(!!!).

a small selection. i refuse to play favorites and i don't feel "guilt" for enjoying a film.

Technically by all accounts a guilty-pleasure movie is a movie that is otherwise BAD but you still love...

My list includes White Chicks, Mulan 2, and the Twilight films.

 

I remember that movie. Vintage Disney sci-fi FTW.

 

I don't really believe in the concept of guilty pleasures as I proudly admit to all the horrible TV shows and movies I enjoy, but I'll go with Stick It, True Lies, and Street Fighter. For TV Shows, I adore Xena, Brisco County Jr., and pretty much any low budget TV show that features lots of running around in New Zealand or Canada wilderness.

 

I have 2--Rock of Ages and Labyrinth. I think I have this subconscious 'thing' for big, 80s hair and/or trippy rock music.

 

I could name a lot of really bad movies that I enjoy watching because they're bad, but here are some movies that I just enjoy even if some people think they're not very good. It's not a very comprehensive list.

I happen to think that The Happening is Mark Wahlberg's greatest comedic performance of all time, and I have watched it several times

 

Any and all B-Horror flicks from the 60's and 70's.

 

Congo. God I love it so much. It makes absolutely no sense (ESPECIALLY if you read the book), but its so gosh darn fun.
