I really enjoyed the Britta and Jeff stuff.

 

i actually didn't catch this.

 

Jeff said, "Wait, is that-- ?" before the dean interrupted him. So that jogged my memory.

 

Lol, nicely played.

 

also ratings were up this week.

 

A good episode. I finally laughed a few times.

 

Fun fact: Dave Filoni and Gillian Jacobs attended the same high school near Pittsburgh (about 8 years apart).

Interesting article from Vulture with the opinion that season 4 is mostly the logical continuation of the Harmon era, flaws and all.

 

I don't really agree with anything in that article. They're citing stuff about the characters in season 4 and saying they were that way earlier. Vaguely? Sure. Vaguely doesn't mean anything though. They're just trying to defend the fact that the writing/characters are much weaker this season.

 

I just agree with "Britta's glasses is an improvement."

 

Yeah, I mean I can see parts of it but they're trying to get their footing and figure out everything. It's probably harder coming into an established show with a loyal fan following and trying to write for characters vs coming into a show that is still trying to find it's place.

 

i don't really get having the chang cliffhanger last week if they were just going to have basically a filler episode this week. if the season is building to another big chang showdown (which is a bummer anyway) they could have waited to reveal his motives until they were ready for it to go that way. this episode was mostly really flat.

 

This episode was, by miles, the best since the season premiere. It was as Harmonesque as the new writers have pulled off so far. Always good to see Magnitude again.
