Rebellion started in 2006 and ended in 2008. First Omnibus was in 2011.
What about Union and Jedi Academy Leviathan? Where will they fit in?

There's also the extended version of the Tales comic "What They Called Me" from Gamer #4 and Free Comic Book Day 2012 "The Art of the Bad Deal."

Plus earlier in this thread the following obscure miscellanea were mentioned, but I don't even know what most of them are or if they would fall within the scope of the Omnibus project:

R2-D2’s Tales from the Data Banks
    Il Potere Della Forza
    The Cries of Alderaan
    Cyril: Adventures of an Editor-Droid

And don't forget the TCW photocomics published by Leapfrog and Grosst & Dunlap, the Droids and Ewoks comics published by MyComyc, all the various Lego comics (in toy packaging, the Lego magazines, and online), the advertisement comics Rich Handley recently discussed on starwars.com, and the phony ad comic in the 2009 Hyperspace Membership kit (titled something like "The Insult That Made a Sith Out of Anakin"). And if the Dark Forces novellas are listed, then so should the three illustrated Ewok short stories in Marvel UK's Ewoks Annual 1989. :-B

Looks like 2 NJO Tales Omnibuses.
1st one Union, Jedi Academy Leviathan and Chewbacca
    2nd one Invasion comics.
    A couple Dark Times/Purge ones
Darth Vader in Dark Times one
    Bounty Hunter/Smuggler/Hutts one
    Several TCW ones
    Manga one
    LTOTS, JvsS and DOTJ maybe?

Never heard they'd extended that first one. And I forgot about the other one--wasn't that some Firefly crossover?

The first would not, because it's not even Star Wars (it's comics from the '60s with some Star Wars bookend, from what I understand--R2 is just slapped on the cover).

I think the second would count, but it'd need a translation. And does anyone know when it was published? I can't even find it on Wookieepedia.

I think the third is some comic within a video game, so I can't think that would be possible to put in an Omnibus.

I've never heard of that last one.

Yeah, all the LEGO comics and various comic ads could be collected--I can never find an exhaustive list of either, hence why they never make it onto lists of mine like the above post. I don't really know anything about the TCW photocomics or the Ewoks annual.

Not sure about the second one, but I remember the Tales version of "What They Called Me" is just some guy going to Endor and meeting the Ewoks. Apparently when it was republished in Gamer there's an extra four-page sequence added where he also visits Kashyyyk. This is all I could find about it.

Droids and Ewoks comics published by MyComyc. :p More seriously, they're Spanish two-page comic stories published in the late 80s. The latest issue of Bleeding Cool Magazine has an article by Rich Handley about Star Wars comics, and these comics are included in his discussion. I don't know what he says, since I haven't received my copy yet. He, Joe Bongiorno, Eddie, myself, and some others have been trying to convince Randy Stradley to include them in an upcoming omnibus (translated into English) on the darkhorse forums.

Edit: Rew, "Il Potere Della Forza" is an extremely obscure Italian comic published by Hasbro back in 1999 or 2000. You can see a scan of the cover on Joe Bongiorno's timeline website.

"The Cries of Alderaan" was an online comic published on the Galaxies website. It wasn't in the game, but was a tie-in story they posted on the website. There's no more reason to think it couldn't be in an omnibus than "Evasive Action."

"Cyril: Adventures of an Editor-Droid" was an ongoing N-canon comic strip in the Marvel UK Return of the Jedi comic series. Cyril was the name of a droid that helped the editors create the Marvel UK SW comics.

Also, I forgot to add that "Jedi Lessons" was an N-canon 1 page comic strip in the Ep. I version of SW Kids Magazine.

Not a crossover. It, as DH often does with its FCBD offerings, was one half-issue story in a two-story book (both written by Zack Whedon). The other story was a Firefly story, and they both dealt with the same general theme of a deal going wrong.

Up to a certain point in time I was maintaining a complete list of LEGO comics in the "hard-to-find" thread years ago, but it is way out of date now.

Prelude to Rebellion is collectible, just issue #0 is lost. There are decent images floating around the internet of that though.

Also, you are not listing all of the comic strips from the L.A. Times Syndicate. You are only listing the ones that Dark Horse has already reprinted. There were a few stories they never reprinted like Planet of Kadril.

Yeah but it's a Tales comic so it'll probably be grouped in with those despite its canon status.

I have read omnibuses and held them in my hands, but I have never actually transported them around. Is it wise to bring them along in suitcases if you travel? I heard their bindings are delicate

Thankfully with some hard-searching I was able to find some of the more expensive omnibuses at a more reasonable price! I am very glad to have found the first two x-wing omnibuses under $30! :D

Unfortunately the thrawn trilogy hardcover is also out of print, but I am sure I can find it at a reasonable price if I look hard enough. I think I will just accept that the hardcovers are more "premium" star wars comics that will never be omnibused.

I am in no hurry to get the hardcovers though, hopefully by the time I want to get it they may reprint it.

The Amazon preview has a lot of the Star Wars weekly stories in black and white--even the ones that appeared in color in the old US reprints. The 3-D comics also appear in black and white, but without the 3-D effects. Does anyone know if the final version will be colorized?

No, this is the first time I have heard about them being in black and white (I can't even see them myself from Amazon). The only black and white comic that has been collected in Omnibuses before this is Aurra's Song, and that one was colored. Then again the preview pages should be from the finished product.

Sadly one of the out of print omnibuses I tried to get was out of stock despite their website saying it was in stock.

Thankfully I was able to find it at the second most reasonable price at $26. I hope everything is smooth sailing from here! I wonder why they said omnibuses won't go out of print yet the first ones are?

I think they're in the process of coming out with new additions. I picked up a couple of Omnibuses last week. Rise of the Sith had the newer-style with the black bar on the spine whereas Menace Revealed did not. I also attempted to get Emissaries and Assassin's, which came out immediately between the other two, but it was unavailable. I suspect that it was because that's where they are in the reprinting process.

Well I don't think I will be able to get all the Omnibuses with the new spine, I have OCD but I am not that desperate to have everything match!

I can't complain too much. I think I got the first 2 x-wing omnibuses at a good price compared to all the other $70 prices available. I think I paid around $44 for both of them combined. So glad that locally owned comic book shops have online catalogs!

Do you think them omnibusing digest adventures is a stretch? How would they make it a traditional omnibus size with the smaller digest format?
