    For me it's not her age. I think she could play Mon Mothma without any problem.

    My complaint would be that having her as head of state or the like prohibits the heroes (Leia for example) of assuming that role of leadership as a natural character progression from OT to ST.

    My objection is purely story releated.

    I can understand that. I would think that she would/could be used as an advisor should Leia be in that position at that time, or used in a similar way as Padme was when she was no longer Queen, but assumed another position after her term.

    Either way, it would be a small role and nod to the OT if it happens.

    I hope Crix Madine shows up with absolutely no change in hairstyle after 30 years. Possibly balding with his comb over now serving as a comb over.

    Anything outside of a quick cameo appearance or mention is overkill. Not that i'm opposed to OT characters returning...

    The only way I could see it happening:

    A sort of cameo role. Since she was in her 50's in ROTJ, she would have to be in her 80's in Episode VII. She could still be alive, giving some sort of advisor support to the new Chancellor or head of state for the republic.
