Speculation Will they know who Padme is?

In passing I guess it would be nice if Luke found out who his mother was, but t could have happened in between ROTJ and EP VII, so maybe he already knows.

 

Cringes at thought of Hayden Christensen's return to talk about Padme... plus Luke deserves a memory of his mother.

Yes, odds are way out there but then again so where the odds of JJ Abrams reneging on not doing Episode VII. Plus with a good director this would be Portman's chance to fix a character in her mind, a nice mother children/grandkids I love you always convo and could be a great way for Leia to understand her fathers downfall, he did it for love and got lost along the way.

 

Yeah, I think they will have learned about their mother long before the story of Episode 7 takes place but they could still mention her for whatever reason. Padme coming back as a ghost? no way.

 

As I said, I think its one hell of a long shot but its not inconcievable

After all as much as Disney may want to avoid the PT they must realize many younger generations are fans of it so there must be at least something.

 

Far more conceivable that Luke and Leia would've found out about their mother between ROTJ and episode 7. It's going to be 30 odd years after Jedi so there really isn't any need to bring it up. They know what happened and have moved on. Job done. IMO

 

Not disagreeing that they could already have found out, just saying if they feel the need to reveal it in ep seven I seethe two things I mentioned as a concievable way they could do it.

 

If Luke thought his sister was hot, wait til he sees a hologram of his mother!

 

Imagine how pissed off Luke and Leia would be that it took so long for their mother to appear in ghost form. haha.


Now, whether Leia will appear in ghost form...that is the question.

They could be a part of the family. Something on Naboo happens and they go there and meet with them to solve the problem. Or we could see a Padme Solo or Skywalker.

 

So useless they were deleted out of the prequels. There is no need to mention her or her family.

 

That scene should have been kept in AOTC.

 

Nope. Had GL changed his mind he had plenty of time to fix it for the DVD or bluray. But he did not. So it sits in the deleted scenes where it belongs.

 

why? It was boring and added nothing to the story.

 

Continuity question: Have we seen Naboo in any of the EU that takes place post-PT?

Didn't Anakin and Padme go from tense relationship at the meeting with the Queen and then to close, friends right after that at the lake retreat? That scene transitioned them for me.

 

Ruins of Dantioone. Some Imperials were there but nothing else I don't think.

Ok. Because for all we know, in the exclusively-film continuity, Naboo is no more. Who knows?
