Not forefeit. The team can still play, but the remedy the League has suggested is that one of them voluntarily sits out. I actually don't know of a situation where a couple in pro sports has been on different sides of a sporting event. It naturally would cause people to wonder about whether one of them would throw the game for their partner. I had no template to work from, so I suggested what seemed to me the most logical thing.

In real life I could see teams being uneasy about the situation. You'd think that one spouse could have access to your playbook and that would present a huge risk.

 

I would trade any player on my team that was even dating a player on another.

Just did another post that kind of clears everything up, and kind of puts an edge on things

 

I had hoped for an actual reaction to the Commissioner since she had Zeke and Jenna via live holoconference, but it's all right if neither of them had anything that they wanted to say at that moment to the Commissioner.

As for Fravid...well, I was going to say that the League wouldn't be super thrilled about that either, but then I realized:

1. Fravid hasn't been convicted of anything, right? And when the League came to Zeke's defense, they said innocent until proven guilty. They can't take a stand based on Fravid if he's not convicted.
2. It's really a team matter if there's no conviction. After all, if the Rough Riders choose to play an embattled player who is under investigation, that's their choice. If Ryloth authorities will release him from confinement to play the game (which would probably require a judge's order), then that's their matter. Kayl'hen wouldn't be too happy, but I'm pretty sure that it's the team that makes the call on players. I'm thinking of the recent case of the Cowboys player involved in the DUI death as well as Ray Lewis here.

So the League would not stop Fravid playing.

Of course, Jenna has a say in this too, doesn't she? She could choose to sit instead if she knows what it would mean to let Fravid play.

Bardan recognizes that his players still have value to him to get other things. Kind of like an unretired Brett Favre who the Packers no longer wanted as QB. They knew other people would want him so they didn't release him--they traded him. Bardan is a smart one...smart enough to win the Cup this season perhaps?

 

I have to get past the Senators first...no easy task given their drubbing of me earlier this year.

 

Pshaw. I drubbed them in the regular season and look what happened to me. You're 0-0 now. Nothing that came before matters.

Umm the Rough Riders/Crazy Dragons situation? I always thought if anyone broke the league it would be me or Gunny. But those two are giving us a run for our money.

 

Over throw the game yeah right. Look at the superbowl there were the Harbaugh bros that could have done that but didn't. That peeves me off.

 

They were siblings. Siblings naturally dislike each other. A husband and wife are a totally different beast. Especially a recently engaged couple.

And now I wonder what Liam and Bardan were saying.
