I wouldn't think sitting on a pole like Yoda is would be at all comfortable...

 

Four goddamn hours to get the bloody Cisco NAC Agent to let me onto the internet. Said my Antivirus Definitions were out of date. Considering that Avast! updated them THIS MORNING, I'm calling BS. Why do schools insist on using the crappiest security software?

 

Wait aren't you Canadian? And here I thought it was a US endemic.

The worst part is when you bring it to an IT guy and they ALWAYS act like you're to blame because you're a student. Or maybe they do that to everyone. But I often get the feeling IT folks automatically think student = idiot.

 

Even Canada cannot escape crappy, outdated software.

 

As an IT guy, I can say we have a bad tendency to think non-IT people (and other IT people) = idiot.

I've always known it was coming, but it was still a straight shot to the feels.

This show has an incredible ability to make both sides look like strategic geniuses....and still produce amazing action sequences. Both sides are engaged in the art of war, playing their opponents with intricate schemes, but the show never gets bogged down in endless Lost-style plotting. In the end, someone will outsmart the other somehow, and the one at a disadvantage will need to fight valiantly to stave off total destruction. It's like a professional fight where both combatants fight brilliantly, and by the end it almost doesn't matter who wins, because you're happy just to see such an amazing fight.

Though it was always obvious how this would end (duh), they still manage to produce real tension.

On top of portraying both sides intelligently, both sides have been given some shades of grey. In the first three seasons it was mostly black and white, but things have definitely gotten muddied this season.

 

Guilty as charged. =p

 

Not sure if anyone else plays StarCraft 2, but I noticed a familiar voice on the latest installment: Heart of the Swarm.
Sure enough, Nika Futterman voices Zagara, a Zerg Queen. And Grey DeLisle voices Nova, a Ghost operative.

 

Aw, yeah I'm going full Russian soon, gonna be buying a 1916 model Mosin-Nugget.

 

A Russian rifle, interesting.

 

Please tell me you intentionally wrote Mosin-Nugget as a joke.

 

Well yeah you can call them Mosin-Nagants or you can call them Nuggets.

Bioshock: Infinite is getting really good reviews, I really want to get it before I go.

 

I haven't had time to play games much lately, but I reallllllly want to get this. It seems like it was announced ages ago.
