Actually, the PT made me care about the plot. Before that, I just wanted to see colored laser swords. Then again, I wasn't aware of the novelizations and/or the EU until after I saw the PT.

We need to find that vault and break into it. It could be an awesome heist. Dammit, I want the Lion King.

It seems to me that you may have missed the five years stretch(during which on was on the TV Forum every day) where a lot(if not most) of the TCW fans constantly looked down their noses at fans of the "EU".

To many of those fans of TCW the "EU" didn't count - Lucas should erase it all - people who were actively cheering everytime something got overwritten while telling those of us dismayed at the overwrite to get over it and stop watching the show.

So while I value everyone their own opinion this wasn't a one way street by any means. And I'm sure you are right, many, many people will dance on the EU's grave if that were to happen. But in some ways, just like people will say that us EU fans brought this on ourselves if the EU ceases to be, fans of TCW brought this on themselves as well.

For years TCW fans have been the favorite child, spoiled by LFL who catered to their every whim. Their's was George's definitive vision, thus when some got upset about Mandalorians, General Grievous, Even Peill or Adi Gallia, those people were the black sheep of Star Wars fans who made the other true fans ashamed of our fandom. Go ask Kyle Newman how he feels about fans who wanted the EU continuity maintained. The hosts of TF.N's official podocast as well. We are the blight of their existence. :p

At least if it went in the vault it'd mean they wouldn't be karking with it and doing any Extra Special Editions with CGI Mickeys for a few years. :p

I've done plenty of dancing on TCW's grave, and I'm quite looking forward to dancing on the EU's grave, and eventually Star Wars' grave.

I guess I'm just a fan of dancing on graves.

There was a flame war going on where TCW fans and EU fans were accusing each other of dancing on TCW's/EU's grave.

I'd dance with Graves, Anna Graves that is.

Anna Graves is the voice of Duchess Satine Kryze, who was recently killed by Darth Maul in TCW, after which Maul and I joyously danced on her grave. Maul needs to watch where he puts his cyborg feet when he's dancing, it's quite painful to get stepped on by those things.

Dancing on graves is to this thread what contradicting the EU is to Cad Bane.

EDIT: Removed the link to "We Didn't Start the Flame Wars" from CollegeHumor.com, as I am not sure what our policy is about links with really bad language.
