But seriously, though, their defense is stymieing us, and I feel like we need to clamp down better on their inside game. Creighton has thankfully been very cold from beyond the arc so far, but we can't depend on them staying that way.

 

Okay maybe I was wrong ... Maybe Florida Gulf Coast is the worst seeding job ever by the committee.

I love this, because it makes complete sense* (having Barkley covering the NCAA tournament would be akin to me having posted this here thread).




*also I like when members of the media take (verbal) shots at their colleagues... it should happen more often.

 

That article did a disservice to readers by failing to mention the Len Elmore/Reggie Miller argument that went on for FIVE MINUTES during the Creighton/Cinci game. Someone in the comments mentioned it.

Reggie was absolutely convinced that Doug McDermont's elbow-to-the-head was not a Flagrant 1 and that if it were called a Flagrant 1 that it would be a travesty for basketball, completely eliminating an offensive player's ability to break a press. Len Elmore calmly explained to Reggie that he was, quite simply, wrong... but eventually Len had to devolve to saying, "BUT THAT'S THE RULE! ELBOWING SOMEONE TO THE HEAD ISN'T THE ONLY WAY TO BREAK THE PRESS!"
