IF Palpatine returns then I can't see him being in episode 7. His appearence would most likely be saved till the end of 8 or mid 9 for a "big reveal" even though it would seem kind of lame IMO. Instead of creating a new, fascinating character you just bring back an old one? It kind of would feel like a cop-out and very lazy writing.

Palpatine never learned how to cheat death.

Unicron, on the other hand, lived for quite some time even after being blown up.

I can dig it, as long as he's voiced by Orson Welles. :)

And have that unicorn be able to shoot laser beams out of its horn and we would officially have the greatest movie of all time. Even surpassing ESB

    Sold! :)

I'm just so completely lost and tired of going around the Darth Plaggypuss dance that this is what I've come to.

I'll just say it: I have no frickin' clue who the baddie is, and I think in nearly 60 pages we've pretty much exhausted any logical possibilities.

Forget shooting lasers, lightsaber horn would be a lot better.

"Sith-Unicorn" is born - arise Darth Horny!

I've said before that I want more than one villain. I should clarify that I want one main villain (like Vader) throughout, and several secondary villains (Tarkin, Jabba, Wampa) interspersed. Consistency and variety, I want it all. :)

What about a "Trade Federation" type charecter, but more powerful, with unlimited resources and a good reach into the galaxy?.

Eh, the evil corporation has been done now. Seems a bit repetitive to go with that again.

If we're talking about an enemy faction, rather than an individual villain, I think the time has come for barbarians. The OT gave us the Lawful Evil villain: the Empire was tyrannical, oppressive and controlling. The PT gave us Neutral Evil villains: the Sith, who care only about gaining power for themselves, and the various trade groups who are motivated by greed. So it only follows that the ST should give us a Chaotic Evil villain, one who's only interested in bringing about destruction and anarchy.

Perhaps the Mandalorians could fill this role, another great crusade for the glory of battle. Or an outside alien race, like the Yuuzhan Vong. Of course, to really tie it in to the other films the Sith would have to be involved, but maybe we could see a Chaotic Evil Sith? Someone like Cronal, who sees the dark side as entropy, and thinks the galaxy needs to be torn down entirely.

Neither the Mandalorians nor the Vong are chaotic evil. They both have codes of conduct which puts them into Neutral or even Lawful evil territory.

Chaotic evil is usually quite boring anyways.
