This incident happened at least one year ago but I just found out about it thanks to Cracked so I'm gonna do some hating right now.

I have to see brother/sister inlaws on Easter and they love nothing better in this world than to act like a bunch of children vying for their mommy's attention by seeing who can bring up in the most serious way the most racist comment, most politically nasty declaration, most ridiculous conspiracy theory and only being interested in themselves or putting down someone else. There are 5 of them, so I am going to start today and hate one each day. Today is the oldest one who thinks she has thinks she has the right to interrogate me on my family's finances - meaning my parent's, my siblings, etc. as well as my own.

 

Disgusting. Sucks when there is no way to escape it. My brother's wife is absolute trash. I try to be civil for my bro and my nieces. Not sure what the hell he sees in her.

 

I did the civil thing with my ex-husband's mother, but after 2 marriage counselors told me I was in a "love triangle" with him and his mother, I quit that marriage after 10 years. My new one (of 9.5 years) is on warning that my level of civility is very thin nowadays. He stays away from them mostly, but guilt runs strong in that family. You're right Eeth-my-Koth there is no escaping my destiny.

UGH! Hear you on the in - law thing. My ex - sister - in - law mostly stays way from our family these days, but the last time she paid a visit to our house (soliciting for something, I wouldn't even let her in the front door as mom was sick and I had no interest in talking to her), she thought I was joking when I told her my older sister had died a few months prior to her visit. SMFH. Thankfully she hasn't been seen since.

 

Why the **** would she think you would joke about something like that? That is really disturbing. My condolences on your sister and having to even have that conversation.
