I like those and bonus they make me laugh.

 

I'm still trying to figure out what to do.

 

Tie ribbon into bows? Draw something? Break things and then put them back together in an interesting fashion?

 

I was going to build something out of Legos, but Runner stole my idea.

 

I have no ribbon. I teh suck at drawing. There is nothing that I have that I am willing to break.

 

Bardan you claim to be thieving mando so you should have no problem with that.

I do have jellybeans that I could plant and see if they grow.

 

Maybe I can whip something up tomorrow.

Bardan that you could. I wonder if it could be food? Like, if you make something and include the recipe?

 

So, I make collages quite a bit. It's my medium of choice. It's really easy and fun to do (I've been doing it since I was a little kid shows you how easy it is- that was one of the things I did with my dad growing up). All you need is a magazine, scissors (and not even really that- you can rip), and tape (any kind, though transparent is the best and regular will do but even duct, painter, or masking would work!). oh, and paper. I make cards, so I cut a piece of paper in half (by folding back and forth and tearing), long ways, and fold that in half, and one side is my canvas.

I made one after the challenge started for my co-worker's birthday party and it was pretty basic. It was the back-side (oh yeah and trash can be great stuff, too or receipts) of something I discarded from another card, which was a native american-looking guy's headdress and his eyes, then little red pieces of kind of transparent tape coming out of it (from a mini-cheese-wheel wrapper) kinda like blood. then I used two highlighters and did some minimal designs around that.

And some of the best cards I've seen/done have just been three pieces/three parts.

It's amazing how much great meditation and expression and how many great thoughts you can get out of just taping pieces of paper to a bigger piece of paper. It's awesome.

edit: oh, the two I did both used rubber cement instead of tape, which I was experimenting with/using at the time.... tape is definitely not inferior to that. It's just different. Tape kinda feels better and provides more texture... rubber cement is more accurate.

Well that's strike two on who I have in the final four for my bracket

 

Very well! I had a long day at work, but I got to hang with my dad a bit and then I had my small-group meeting (basically bible study group, but leaning more brotherly) and it was very encouraging.
