    I never realize how much Ive missed John Sterling until opening day. And how much I revile Waldman.

    Lou Pinella just got booed throwing the first pitch. Must be something in the water, or just New York.

    I love how Yankee stadium played the Imperial March when introducing the Red Sox, and then the Throne Room when they introduced the Yankees. how typical

    Waiting on the guy from "Kicked in the Nuts" to attack Girardi. Cause this is terrible.

    I got a kick of Gary Cohen misidentifying Yonder Alonso as Carlos Quentin for half of Yonder's first at bat. :p

    It was quite an exciting Opening Day for the Bums, Kershaw shining his way through a defeat of the Giants, with a little help from Crawford/iffy Giant pitching. Aside from either a perfect game/no-hitter/a walk off hit to end the game, the afternoon simply couldn't have gone better. Juan Uribe was booed during the opening ceremony, it will take me about until August to get used to seeing Mark McGwire in a Dodger uni, and Larry King can't boast (via Twitter) about sitting behind home plate, and then disappear for half the game. Speaking about the opening ceremony...






    Are parts of that too corny? Sure. Are there some questionable celebrities in the montage (I'm looking at you Britney, Chris Paul & Blake Griffin & Matthew Perry)? Yup. Did I enjoy it anyway? Of course!

    Yesterday's pregame festivities easily were my favorite thus far on Opening Day/for the home opener in all my years of being a Dodger fan.

    It is so awesome to see Koufax throw even a ceremonial pitch. One of my favorites of all time, I thought that was just incredible yesterday.

    Olbermann writes a pretty good baseball blog for mlb.com, and he completely skewered them. Especially the front office trying to pin this disaster on Gardenhire, when he's walking out a AAA lineup plus Mauer and Morneau nightly.
