It can be disabled manually.

I disagree.

 

I don't think we should ever have pervasive, annoying music in the banners, or on pages.

But the ident' welcome banner, I think is cool, and should be made permanent.

No X available for me either. I had two "RPF truncated" tabs, both with videos. One had an X, so killed it; the second one, no X on the remaining banner, so I've still got a revolving head with high blood pressure (well, it made eyes bleed on an NCIS episode).

 

I disagree on the pervasive, annoying music, it tends to aggravate people and the only two times I've ever put it up it's been for the sole purpose of aggravating people. I'd call that a win.

RE: the welcome banner, I've been hearing a few comments to that effect, I suppose we could try it out.

 

So what do we do if there is no X?
