True. Especially since ReBoot was sooooooo much better.
My first impression was not far off the mark. I think I cracked a smile twice.

I liked it better when it was called Digimon.

Saw it last night. Loved it. The short before the movie was one of the best I've ever seen with a Disney movie. The movie itself was great, too. A must see for any video-gamer.
Ugh! I missed that reference! I saw it on a list of references last night (also had a screen cap of it). I can't believe I missed that... especially since right next to it was "NO CAMPING!"

Still, my favorite reference, by far, was easily, the Metal Gear Solid ! in the lost-and-found at Tappers. The Contra code was great, too.
    Oh-ree-oh, Or-eo!

Speed Racer is highly underrated. Absolutely gorgeous film with some brilliant moments of insanity.

i09 had an article looking back on the film only a week or two ago:10 Reasons Why Speed Racer is an Unsung Masterpiece

(I don't hold it quite so high as a "masterpiece", but still)

speed racer was un-watchable crap that was visually and intellectually painful. PAINFUL! It was quite literally hurting my eyes to look at the screen.
Matrix was an OK wire-fu movie, but highly over-rated. (I am not impressed by wire-fu. For crying out loud, they use it in porn movies. I suppose if you weren't used to it, it might be impressive). The thin coating of sci-fi did not make up for the generally mediocre plot.
Matrix sequels were following the law of diminishing returns--each one was weaker than the one before.
V for Vendetta at least had a solid comic book behind it rather than relying on camera work gimmicks.

Just saw this with my daughter. Loved it.
I was getting a kick thinking about how many things in that movie were references she's decades off the mark from.

Apparently the director has been talking about the likely (though unannounced) sequel and how he hopes to have Mario in that one, reconfirming that the plumber's absence was about not having a place for him in the film instead of any opposition by Nintendo.

I finally saw this movie. It's not Pixar but it's very cute, and it has a really heart-warming ending.

I got this on blu-ray recently and thereby just saw it for the first time. It's a great movie, definitely up there with How to Train Your Dragon.

Also, I may be jumping in late with the ReBoot discussion, but ReBoot was freaking awesome.

I wish the film had focused more on Ralph than the little girl.

Actually...I don't see that as being a problem. But then again, Ralph and Vanellope are practically personality doppelgangers for me and my little sister, so I might be a bit biased. :p

Caught it on the plane to Seoul and enjoyed it a lot. Screen was too small to catch a lot of the references, but the ones I did catch were horribly amusing... :)

I'm fairly certain the graffiti in the central station featured things like, "Sheng Long was here" and "All your base are belong to us."

I have it incoming on my next Netflix delivery. I've tapered off my initial excitement for more subdued lower expectations.

Well I did, but I'm probably biased because I thought Vanellope was pretty annoying and kinda Mary Sue-ish.

Don't expect Pixar-level excellence, just a good kids film.

Gave this movie a second viewing over the weekend, picking it up on Blu-Ray at a Redbox. I think I was even more impressed with the second viewing, and I loved it after first view. I was worried that it would be too formulaic, predictable, and the nostalgia/geek factor would wear off after seeing it once. It didn't. I don't love it enough to go out and buy a copy of it (I buy very few movies ... in fact, only one in the last 12 months, and that was The Avengers, which I bought Mrs. Inty as a birthday present), but it was good enough that I'd probably never turn down a chance to watch it.

I think it was okay. A bit predictable and a slow start. I felt like there was potential for a better movie here.

That's pretty much my opinion as well. It's just that, an ok kids movie that could've been a bit better.

I think this movie is really going to be a box office smash.
Disney certainly spared no expense in hiring the original voice actresses of pretty much all the princesses.

Disney debuted the footage at D23 last year, and stirred up quite the enthusiastic ruccus among those who were lucky enough to be in the audience. Disney recruited the original voice actors to reprise their roles for the sequence, including, Jodi Benson as Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Paige O’Hara as Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Linda Larkin as Jasmine (Aladdin), Ming Na Wen as Mulan (Mulan), Irene Bedard as Pocahontas (Poachontas), Idina Menzel as Elsa (Frozen), Anika Noni Rose as Tiana (The Princess and the Frog), Mandy Moore as Rapunzel (Tangled), Kristen Bell as Anna (Frozen), and Auli’i Cravalho as Moana (Moana). They even got a little Pixar in there with Kelly Macdonald as Merida (Brave). We don’t have a look at the footage just yet (no trace of the princesses in the last trailer), but Disney UK has revealed the first-look image from the princess sequence. Additionally, USA Today has debuted two new images from the film.
