PT Thinkin' 'Bout Jar Jar

It has nothing to do with being purists. I am of the age that I grew up with both Star Wars and Star Trek movies like Wrath of Khan.

They recently rebooted Trek, and you know what? I love it. Why? Because it was a fun and enjoyable movie. They hit the mark in a way that TPM did not.

The problem is with the movies, not generation X hating things because they are new, that's just not the truth.

When we point out faults. it's not because we want there to be faults. It's because they are real

 

Real is also a point of view. It' s just how your eyes see it. Happy there are no purists here either.

 

Tons of fan edits that make it unnecessary to fast forward now exist. I just saw a script for an edit the other day in which JJ actually plausibly disappears in Theed and is removed from the rest of the movies. This is not the 90's. There is no need to merely fast forward. All we have to do is fix and enjoy.

 

No it's wether your brain and thinking are developed enough to actually question wether what your watching makes sense. Maybe when your older you'll understand.

 

I understand. And I question it ever since i start watching.In fact, I don' t like many films my parents like because I think they don' t make sense. But I didn' t feel that when I watched SW. I am experienced enough to understand what I feel.

We are getting off topic, but I would be fascinated to hear the names of 3 movies out of the many that your parents watch that don't make sense.

 

They' re Russian soap operas and melodramas. Even if i told you the names, I don' t think you wouldn' t have recognised them either. But yes, it' s getting offtopic, so I guess we' d better stop the conversation and leave the opinions of each other as they are, because all of us have a different outlook.

You' re speaking as if teenagers are animals( well, from the view of biology, all humans are animals, but you' re speaking of teenagers as of some non - human race that is less developed) .

Jar Jar and Chewie are both useless annoying characters that should have been left out of the films..

I didn't say no offense just because that user did. I don' t care about your debate with him either. I meant no disrespect as well, having a fight here is the last thing I want. I just thought you might think my post is offensive, and said I meant no offense. It' s good you mean no disrespect, just it sounded like you view me as someone you greatly despise. And also, getting wisdom is optional. I've seen old people that aren't as wise as people that are younger than them. Wisdom is contradictory. Also, I don' t think it's the topic about philosophy, so I think we can find another place to discuss our outlook on life.
