I fell asleep watching this boring episode. I'll try again tomorrow, but from the 15 minutes I endured, I doubt it will redeem itself.

I really liked this one because it wasn't an anti-Pierce one. Not that I'm pro-Pierce, I just thought it was nicely handled.

 

Does anyone remember an article or editorial (I think on the AV Club but I could be wrong) from a few months ago or maybe possibly before season 4 even started about how the shift in the show's tone from more realistic and emotional to wacky and meta was a result of the point of view or focus shifting from Jeff in the first two seasons to Abed in 3 (and maybe 4)? I've been trying to find it again but I can't remember anything more specific to search for.

 

nobody told me this week's was a rerun.

 

Last week's had been listed as a rerun and then turned out to be new, I was lucky to have seen it. I tuned in this week just in case

 

Yeah, they might have some trouble with a new Thursday lineup.

I'd like to think Community can continue, but it looks grim as best I can tell

 

They're pretty much burning off 1600 Penn. It's an almost-certain cancellation. Awful ratings and, worse, no buzz.

 

1600 Penn is neither good nor bad to me. It's just sort of there. Community and Parks and Rec are the best of the lineup as it stands. The Office was a good show and had a good run, but it's time has come.

In a way, I kind of like when Pierce is actually the voice of reason

 

great episode tonight. good to see abed get some sort of a romance that might go past one episode.

i'll admit i teared up a little at the end. been a while since community pushed those buttons.

 

I was ambivalent until Abed met the girl. My immediate reaction was "oh god yes this will be epic." And then he missed the point, because he's Abed, so I really should've seen it coming.

I guess what I'm saying is C+, okay, not great

 

was just reading this brie larson ama and she makes it sound like she only filmed the one episode. her appearance isn't even listed on imdb so that's not very helpful.

 

Please let that preview be real!

 

I loved last nights episode. And I like that Abed did actually show growth because you expected him to not realize the mistake after it happened and the girl he did click with would be gone forever. And he didn't he actually ended up going after the girl.

 

I remember them showing a photo of the puppets a while back. Pretty sure it's a full episode, though the way clip was introduced certainly seemed like a parody of sitcom tropes.

 

Excellent episode. Hit the spots, Pearce was fab, great star cameo (I forgot she had 2 songs). And oh my god, the "preview" had tears streaming from BOTH my eyes.

 

Please tell me I didn't dream this.
