    That's going to knock two artists off my 'must see list' in the space of 4 days. Can't wait!

    David Bowie was my first concert ever. Glass Spider tour 1987. If I remember correctly, Peter Frampton played with him that night.

    My first was Misfits at Love Hall in 1983. My second, unfortunately, ended up being Menudo doing a free concert. Quite imbalanced.

    My first concert was Icehouse in 1988, Man of Colours tour, but not sure if they were that well known outside Australasia, though Electric Blue and Crazy may have hit the charts in the US & UK? 2nd concert was later the same year, Mick Jagger - he had Joe Satriani on guitar for that tour.

    I saw him on the Glass Spider tour as well... except his opening acts were The Outfield and Duran Duran when I saw him.

    Only one concert so far this year, saw Soundgarden in Feb.

    Very much looking forward to Summerfest this year. All sorts of bands I want to see. The Features, Imagine Dragons, Billy Idol, Alice Cooper, MGMT, Dr John, AWOLNATION, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Silversun Pickups, Social D, Twenty One Pilots, K'Naan, Blues Traveler, & Barenaked Ladies. It's goning to be a busy 10 days! Forgot the Gleasons!

    Yeah Frampton played as part of Bowie's band. I was subjected to Duran Duran as well. Honestly I didn't mind so much.

    Electric Blue was quite popular in the US, but that was it. I'd heard their Primitive Man album several years earlier when I spent the summer at my cousin's in Germany.

    Caught the Emerson String Quartet last night in Chicago for a rousing performance of the Janácek String Quartet No. 2, Berg's Lyric Suite and Schoenberg Verklärte Nacht, Op. 4. Tone row easy listening. Great to see David Finckel perform with the quartet one last time before his retirement at the end of this season. These sixty-somethings still bring it after three plus decades on the road. Rock on, old white guys. You're the Stones of chamber music.
