Coruscant Underworld Police (yep the same ones as in TCW) show up in this comic and immediately get told to shove off by Imperial forces.

Golan battle platforms are mentioned, as is Hans past as Imperial.

Spoiler ahead:

I'm starting to wonder why Vader was included into this arc. He barely does anything relevant. Why did we need to see him threaten the guys from Death Star II when he has done the same thing in the movies?

Besides from that I'm torn on this issue. I hope the x-wing squad doesn't really destroy a star destroyer and an interdictor. That would take away a lot of tension in future issues. Hans and Chewies escape was cool. Prithi acts either jealous or suspicious, can't decide. Mon Mothma is badass.

I was assuming these be the recipients of Vader's wrath:

Is that not so?

 

No, he actually killed some Admiral who backtalked stupidly that they can't fill the quota and if Palps is unhappy about that he should come to Death Star II himself. Pretty pointless suicide.​

Pity. Dumb of that Admiral though, you'd think he'd know better!

EDIT: Actually I quite like that, gives an added edge to why Moff Jerjerrod is the way he is in ROTJ

 

Yes, I guess so. It still has little to do with the main plot of the whole arc so far.

Also the thing felt a bit heavy-handled because by now the Imperials should be up to speed how Vader deals with those who insult him. It was obviously put in there just so Vader can run someone through with his saber.

 

Hmm, I'll see for myself when I read the trade but that's kind of like a redshirt scene for Trek really, 'tis traditional!

 

Definitely. If Vader appears somewhere, he has to get a couple killings under his belt quick quick.
