Hello GIL! My computer is back from being fixed. It needed a new hard drive, it was only 5 months old which sucks but hopefully I'm good to go now. The only thing that sucks is I have to bookmark all my favorites again and install all my software.

 

How is the new job going?

 

It's not too bad. It's vastly different than the last theater I ran. Mainly because it's almost three times as busy. I have around 150 employees at the new job, it's quite a lot to take in. My first couple of weeks will be mostly observing how they do things here. I've been tagging along with my management staff to get a feel for how the building is run. It didn't make much sense for me to go jumping in I'm going to Vegas for a week mid April. Once I get back from Vegas I'm gonna kick it into high gear.

What about you? Any news on finding any work?

 

Niiiiiiiiiiiice. As for my job search, it's not going well... 4 months now of applying to places, and I haven't got a single response back yet for a interview. I'm trying to not get discouraged.

 

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

 

The American dream. You can always get a job at WalMart or a gas station and live in your car?

 

It IS California....I'd give it another eight months.

 

All of my applications so far have been done online... the moment I get a response back (ie: an interview), then I get a hair cut.

Armen, you should take your resume and go into places and drop it off and fill out an application, just don't stick to online ones.

 

That's definitely got to be a next step, though I'm likely to call ahead first & ask if a place still does that sort of thing (since so many companies have online applications anyway).

Uneventful so far.
