Just noticed that the creator of that map mixed up Austria and the Czech Republic. Geography fail.

I'm strangely fascinated by the random dark purple counties that appear to be in the middle of nowhere.

Really, this is one of the better ones? Who exactly travels from Cheyenne to Albuquerque with enough frequency to make that a major route? For that matter, who really travels between anywhere and Cheyenne to justify that?

I like that the footnotes specify that anyone of even partial Japanese ancestry is to be expelled from an entire hemisphere of Earth for the remainder of galactic history.

Also, that we can keep peace throughout the entirety of Africa with a grand total of two bases: one on the Azores, the other in the Canary islands.

I think that's what all those little red and blue triangular "peace-security bases" along the coast are supposed to be for.

A little cool timeline video showing all the various states and empires that have incorporated present-day Iran through the ages. It has changed hands many times. Were it not for its position along important trade routes, I don't think it would have been so popular to conquer as it was. Because most of the Iranian heartland is mountains. [face_dunno]

Those state-maps were really interesting, but I got dizzy from going back and forth with another map showing the names of the states
It would be embarrasing if I was an american

Yeah, the Sunni Iraqis too. :p And without the benefit of the Mediterranean climate that Syria has at that.

It's so much easier to see why the Kurds are so universally despised by their neighbors and countrymen when you look at a fake map.

Yep. Even this map gives them too little, compared to the large area they live in. But what I don't understand is why he would expand Lebanon when they've already fought each other a half dozen times and clearly can't live together. His solution is to make it bigger? If there was ever a ripe candidate for "Balkanization", it's Lebanon. Yet, he splits up Iraq into a Sunni and Shia half when they mostly got along with each other relatively fine before this latest invasion saw regional powers foment tensions between them by blowing things up and blaming it on the other side to provoke hate. Not to mention the sheer unrealisticness, and honestly douchebaggery, of leaving the Sunnis with a swathe of useless desert land between Jordan and Syria to make a nation out of. I don't know the location of the oil fields either, they could all be located in the Shia-populated areas for all I know. If so, then the Sunnis would be doubly screwed. And how is separating the holy cities into its own country going to help? How can anyone know that the regime ruling that territory won't be every bit as ideological as the Saudis or the Iranian regime? The people of an area aren't going to become modern in their thinking just because they got rearranged under a different polity on the map. They're still the same people.
