Sheesh, I'm home 'sick' because my doc is trying to stabilize me on the only med that seems to help against my bouts of facial pain.
The good thing: the pain is (mostly) gone.
The bad thing: this stuff makes me, like, drunk. Just without alcohol. And cheaper.
There's no corridor wide enough for me ATM, I'm heeling through our appartment like a sinking ship, and the stuff induces double vision. Now wonder the package insert lists 'fractures' among the more common side effects. Driving a car is pretty much impossible ^^.

 

Thank you, anakinfansince1983, I hope so, too . Fractures as a side effect may sound dramatic, but it's not as if the meds weakened the bone structure or some such. The double vision and movement disorder caused by the meds just increase chances to fall down stairs and the like. As I said, it's a lot like being drunk ... just cheaper.

 

Argh -- take it easy! And no more freestyle park skateboarding.

Damn. Stay safe and avoid the stairs! I hope your meds get straightened out. Are you mixing them or anything? Don't mean to be nosy.

And looks like my vacation will start early tomorrow. Slackers FTW.

 

No prob . No, it's a single med (originally vs. epilepsy), but it comes in several strenghts. You must start with the weakest capsules; after a week level 2 capsules must be taken, and so on. The art of stabilization lies in discovering the level of medication that's best suited for the patient. When that's been fixed, the stuff must be taken for several months. Once the therapy is finished, it's tapering ... or suffer from serious withdrawal symptoms.
As I have taken the stuff before, I know what to do and what to avoid , but this time around I happen to feel more of the side effects.

I had a water line burst in my house last night.. And it just happened to be over the electrical closet. That's always a great way to start the weekend.

Fortunately the breaker box didn't get wet, but the network rack wasn't so lucky. I lost a switch and a media server, everything else seems okay. Maybe I should think about moving, this neighborhood seems to have a lot of bad luck.

Yeah, I try to avoid Savannah. Hope you're not gonna be driving through that line of storms that's moving in! They look pretty bad.

I saw some idiot traveling the wrong way up i26 the other day, and sadly that's not uncommon to see. But I haven't been north of the line in ages, so I wouldn't know.
