I just don't get it. I mean, I don't think the place is absolutely horrible or anything, but a lot of people I know people rave about this place like it was a country-themed, chain version of Chez Panisse, while personally I've never been impressed with it, and left to myself I'd probably never go there. I mean, it's more or less Denny's with a Hee Haw gimmick going on. The praise that I've heard people heap on this place just confounds me.

    James Bond:
Never got the appeal of the movies or the character. I really dislike Bond's personality and the movies...I don't know. They are boring and all kinda seem the same to me (Bond meets a beautiful woman who doesn't seem to fall for him. They get chased by the Bad Guys. He saves her and the world, too. She falls in love with him. The End.). There was only one that I liked, I think it was called "Moonwalker". Seemed like a cross-over with Star Wars. I laughed so hard at the space battle with the laser guns.

    Gangnam style:
Can't stand the song and the dance is just....

    Dub-step:
Seems to be very popular right now. But to me, it just sounds like someone tore a song apart. No, thanks. I like my music whole.

    Avatar:
The movie wasn't bad. But I still don't think that the hype was justified. It looked great, but the plot was recycled and completely predictable.

Let me link this here (don't worry, it's short.):

I hate everything. I just spend all of my life in suspended animation and have little gnomes type my responses on the internets.

The movies Training Day and The Departed....

I also think Valentines day is an awful joke put on men a solid month after Xmas, and I don't wanna hear the group who says "valentines day is a couples day not only for women." if you believe that I have magic beans to sell you.

Yeah, it should be May 25th, although I don't hate it as the 4th.

Adding another one after the "best TV shows" thread:

I hate Lost. It would have been fine as a miniseries about people who got stranded on a desert island, but when they started adding all this supernatural flashback ****...just no.

that show would've been horrible without all this supernatural flashback ****. it would have been just been like we have to find more food and where are we gonna make the next toilet and anybody have any new ideas for getting rescued and hey that's my thing that i found from the wreckage, give it back. i mean, there was a lot of that sort of thing anyway, but only having that stuff would have been insufferable.

There have been some pretty good survival adventure stories in books and film; adding in that crap just made me want to ask the characters what island they landed on anyway and how the hell they found so much LSD in the wreckage.

yeah but it's been done over and over and over again, the basic survival story. the breakthrough with the show came when they hit upon the idea to expand it beyond its natural bounds by having the flashback stories and the cryptic mythological stuff. say what you will about how they chose to delve into that, but the show was massively better with the LSD crap than it would have been without it.

Lost was a lot of time travel as well.... Regardless season 1 of Lost is some of the best TV ive ever seen.. When I saw the first episode the series was out in the box set. I instantly went out and bought it and spent the next few days in a dark room watching it like some kind of porno addicted shut in.

That freaking Hatch at the end was like dangling a years worth of crack in front of a junkies face.

I'm not really interested in time travel unless it involves Marty McFly. A possible exception might be a Michael Crichton character jumping dimensions and ending up in 14th century France, but...nah, still doesn't hold a candle to Marty.

The Godfather. Long and slow. Couldn't get into it. And I mixed up the character names too. I'll try rewatching it some day.

And Tarantino is overrated. The guy is clever and his movies are funny and entertaining, but come on. A genius he is not.

I mean someone would have to be a special kinda stupid to argue how good Back to the Future was... and the main theme song was Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News....

Lost is uber-melodramatic soap opera garbage and belongs in daytime television with the rest of that garbage. Nothing is as it seems? **** you. Every ten seconds of that show is meant to evoke  from the ADD audience. Of course if you do this going into every commercial and at the end of every episode it completely ruins any sense of actual drama. It's just a total overload of nonsense that leads to nowhere and everyone that watches it has contributed to the spamming of similar dreck that has ruined television this century. I hate you all.

You people who like Lost, you like soap operas. YOU LIKE SOAP OPERAS. Quit your jobs and go watch Days of Our Lives. Seriously, that's what Lost is, they took Days of Our Lives and the rest of those soaps and put them on primetime with a bigger budget, and you drama queens loved it.

Patton Oswalt's E7 idea that's been making the rounds on the internets since yesterday... it's not that funny or great. So cool, huh, having Iron Man/a Marvel crossover in the GFFA. Wow! Why not feature a scene with Godzilla terrorizing half of Coruscant, while Harry Potter is in a duel with a Sith Lord. Then Han, Sulu & Captain Kirk can have a senior love triangle, while traveling with The Doctor. A subplot: Django, Blade & Lando go on a campaign to rid Naboo of racist Gungan zombies (with a cameo by Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow). It'll be great!
