maybe not as wacky as Cody, but the Tagge family could be pretty crazy-go-nuts at times.

I suppose the whole "spacecraft have magnetic fields that can protect you from the vacuum of space" thing we saw when Han and Crimson Jack faced off. Still, the result was very cool.

    And Jax, of course.

The Shawken Device had a great base plot. Very Vonnegut-Ice Nine-ish. Sort of wrapped up a little quick, but hey, it was a comic.

I often wish the newer stuff would play with the science behind the fiction more often. The Plagueis novel did it to an extent, but those types of stories are few and far between it seems.

I was flipping through my copies of Long Time Ago Volume 1, 2, and 4. Sure alot of weird fish people wearing fish bowls, weird big hairy space thugs that would start fights against Luke or Han all the time. Then you got the talking rabbit in a red space suit. And as I have said, Lando wearing some bad disguises lol.

That and I swear alot of the female character aliens sure had alot of pink or purple colored skin which was cool but still alot of weird stuff that was just bizarre.

I still have yet to see any of the wacky Imperial officers doing some insane stuff. Mostly I keep seeing fish people in some pages of the Omnibuses

How could I forget... the issue where Leia decides to hide the Rebel Fleet in the heart of a sun. And acts surprised when it turns out that this course of action is, indeed, dangerous.

Space rabbits have nothing on that ****. I forgive it, though, because it reminds me of this song

That's so sexy, I kinda have a crush on Crimson Jack, he's like, so confident. He just puts it out there.

Is this the record for most words said during a punch?

    Hooooraaaay!!!

I personally love the walrus-man Jabba the Hut. I don't care about proper canon or continuity, as far as I'm concerned, for Marvel's version of the SW universe, the walrus-man was Jabba.

I also like the Star Trek-like space ship that Han and Chewie get press-ganged onto in The Crimson Forever.

I just realized . . . is Crimson Jack's last name Zissou? Because I'm thinking Crimson Jack survived his duel with Han and went on to be a depressed astrographic explorer/holodocumentarian.

There's nothing that could be any worse than the Cody Sunn-Childe issue.....

.....is what I thought before I saw The Clone Wars by Katie Lucas. :p

Even so, I still struggle to grasp just how bad that issue is, years after having first read it (and I do believe it was the first Marvel Star Wars issue I read). I can't say that I speak from experience, but I'm sure that shooting up a mix of all psychotropics known to man still produces a less alienating and more realistic experience than reading that piece of crap.

And that is where you'd be wrong. Because they used that very cocktail of which you speak in place of ink in that issue. It's why it's so trippy. :p

    Two words: Darth Maul

And some bonus words: brother brother brother brother brother!

(I don't hate her, but I wasn't a fan of how she set up some excellent plotlines in TCW and subsequently ruined them with Mauldalore)

The Dreams of Cody Sunn-Childe is bizarre beyond belief... it stands out even amidst all the craziness that is Marvel Star Wars. The first time I read it my reaction was "no... just no." But in time I've learned to appreciate its insanity-inducing greatness. :D

Yes, Marvel Star Wars definitely had some strange issues/storylines, but that's what made it so great. I actually found The Dreams of Cody Sunn-Childe a poignant (though quite surreal) story.

Also really enjoyed Annual #1, with the winged aliens.

Somehow those same weird fish people in the old Marvel Star Wars they remind me too much of Marvel Universe's Namorita when she gots psycho and her face grows fangs and stuff

    OH

    OH!!!!!!!!!!

That reminds me: Serphidian Eyes. WEIRD AS **** ISSUE.

Wookieedia's images don't do it justice, and I don't have my comics with me atm. But IIRC, it was like an Amphibious Renaissance Faire:
