Amph "You think you're the only superhero in the world?" - The Marvel Cinematic Universe

I'm really having a hard time getting excited for Marvel movies anymore. It's just overkill. I still love the movies, but it's not the bone-chilling trailer-rewinding excitement I had for, say, TFA. I didn't even realize IM3 was next week until it was pointed out to me.

I'll have to agree. My excitement for any of the superhero movies coming out this summer (except for Man of Steel) is considerably diminished. I barely have time to go to the movies anymore and there's plenty of exciting stuff coming out in the next few months I'd rather make time to go and see than the first few chapters of Marvel's Phase 2.

Jamie Foxx done up with blue facepaint just looks silly.

 

I don't have a problem with it. I feel like people complain about not using practical effects anymore, and then as soon as they try to use practical effects it's all 'oh it looks stupid they should've use CGI'.

 

There's a big difference between "practical effects" and "rubbing blue **** on your face and hoping they fix it in post".

 

Degrading the hair and makeup department isn't gonna win the argument. It's possible that they'll add an electric CGI effect later. They might not. I think it matches the comics enough so that I don't have a problem with it. End of.

 

Well if he winds up looking on par with that crap Lizard design, then I really have no reason to pay to see the movie.

As much as I like Jamie Foxx, I'll just consider it as just another stinker he should have said no to.

 

You're welcome to not see the movie. Fine with me.

What about Dane Dehaan? And why aren't we doing this in the Amazing Spider-Thread?

 

Because I am tired and didn't feel like hunting down the spider-man thread.
