So.....I might be in the minority here....but am I the only one who kinda cant stand Iron man anymore? I liked him at first but now it seems like every Marvel studios film is all about Iron man or blatantly references him or shoves him unnecessarily into comics he is not needed in *I'm looking at you GOTG comic*. He was cool at first but when you see too much of something you eventually grow tired of it. Plus I hear they cut out a lot of scenes from Avengers *ones that focused on other characters* because the studio wanted them to focus more on Iron Man *plus IMO Marvel studios obviously puts more time/effort into the Iron man franchise and their team up films than any of the other solo films*. I just find him incredibly overrated now and if RDJ decides to not return as IM after Avengers 2 what the heck is Marvel gunna do now that their cash cow is gone? IDK....I'm just kinda annoyed with him now. *just my opinions dont kill me, Iron man fans*

Agreed 100%. Iron Man is devouring the other Marvel franchises. Sure, IM1 was good, but let's be frank - 2 sucked, and his appearance in The Avengers wasn't "amazing". He needs to be contained. However, his jump to the GotG movie is more because turning that into a movie is a bad idea.

Quite frankly, the only movie I care about from Marvel anymore is Winter Soldier. And that's going to be screwed up because of the Russo brothers. That's like having Will Farrel star in Band of Brothers!

To me it comes off like Marvel doesn't feel confident in their films on their own and feel it is necessary to shove in IM *or at very least direct references to him* in order to get the Iron Man audience/constantly remind is this is a shared universe. The IM in GOTG just shows they have almost no confidence in the comics on its own *we still dont know if he will be in the movie but its likely he'll cameo in the end or they'll shove in some unnecessary ancestor in since this movie takes place in the future*. Tis a shame since the old GOTG comics are actually very good and now it just seems like Marvel totally forgot about the potential these characters have and are all "People wont buy it unless Iron man is in it" and thats kinda insulting to both the GOTG/other marvel characters and IM himself *who has now become a cash cow to market other characters*

I drank underage. Plenty in fact. I became legal 20 years ago so I think the statute of limitations is up.

That does remind me of being 22 and buying beer with my then-15-year-old brother. The geriatric cashier examined my ID for several minutes before deciding it was real.

Unfortunately I don't get NatGeo but that sounds interesting.

It is quite fascinating, especially if one doesn't actually know what's going to happen. I never knew about the CCCP vs USA Hockey Game in 1980, for instance.

What, the Miracle on Ice? One of the US team members from that game lived in my town and had a daughter my age as well. Pretty cool to meet someone from such a legendary sports event.

I've got to share with you guys a "kids say the darnedest things" story:

We were in Trader Joe's tonight and I went to the wine aisle, at which point my youngest says loudly, "Mommy, why do we always come over here???"

Because this aisle is important, kid.

Busted by the almost 6-year-old. The guy working the counter was practically in tears, he was laughing so hard.
