nuggets/warriors was by far the best game so far. the warriors really needed to steal that game though. they're probably doomed without lee.

this first round won't really get interesting until a road team wins a game.

i agree with chuck. this is going to be a really bad first round. especially with injuries hampering some teams after that first game, or having hampered them all year.

yeah, he's probably right. but if it's bad it will be over quickly, if not it will be a pleasant surprise. i still think knicks/celtics and clips/grizz are series that have potential.

Lackluster* would be an accurate description of today's Lakers/Spurs game 1. Sure, there were moments in which the purple & gold had mini runs, and had got within 3-6 points of the Spurs, but their offensive flow today (in particular their perimeter game... 3-15 from the 3-point line) left much to be desired (to be fair, this wasn't a surprise, and they could have done worse (obviously)). Nash somehow manged 16 points, but realistically he won't be much of a factor in this series. Dwight & Pau need to take more shots (they both had nice double double's today, but you couldn't call their effort dominating), the bench somehow has to manage to not embarrass themselves, and D'Antoni ought not to be giving Darius Morris any playing time (they got Goudelock back, but didn't play him at all today. WTF?)... also, him having the Lakers foul right at the end of the game was just ridiculous. Duncan is looking better than he has in awhile, and even in limited action (Ginobli) or shooting terrible from the field (Parker), San Antonio still got great contributions from those players. Realistically, I don't see how the Spurs don't win this series in 5.

*A highlight**: Discussing the pro's & con's of San Antonio signing Tracy McGrady with my brother. McGrady was his favorite NBA player back in the day, with McGrady's futility in the NBA playoffs providing lots of material for me to torment my brother with. :p

So...how bad do you think Kobe really wants the Lakers to get swept so it makes him look better?

Yes, and LloydChristmas is going after Beyonce.

I'd say both have about an equal shot of happening. Lloyd may actually have better odds.

There is speculation that this is a bone to Lebron to come back.

    Would you like that?

Bobcats fired their coach today. Will MJ get the itch to fill that role himself?

The Bucks **** the bed in the 4th, but the heat had way more calls. Not that the NBA has ever given the Bucks any love.

25 + years without a season opener at home.

don't dispute that the heat got more calls, but none of them were bad. nor were any of the no calls. personal opinion, but i'd like to think it's a fairly unbiased one since i don't have a dog in any of these races.
