That is shown to be from the Ultimate Visual Guide, so some is based on conjecture. We will officially know when the Episode Guide by Jason Fry is released.

Huh. Pretty sure the timeline does put ARC Troopers after The Deserter:

I am more concerned about reconciling some of the time-span issues thanks to the acknowledged one or two-year gap between Hunt for Ziro and Heroes on Both Sides. It seems that the first 2.5 seasons will be squeezed into 7-8 months, and the remaining 2.5 seasons' worth of episodes come dangerously close to overlapping with the start of the Outer Rim Sieges, including Anakin and Obi-Wan's months-long departure from Coruscant to fight in the Sieges. Presumably they end up squeezing the events of Seasons 4 and 5 more tightly together, but I was under the impression that some time has passed between certain stories, like Crisis on Naboo and Revenge, as we've seen Obi-Wan grow his hair and beard back completely between the two episodes. So that should indicate that at least a few months have passed, but then that would probably have to put the Season 5 episodes squarely in 19 BBY, right around the start or midst of the Sieges. Not to mention it kind of compresses the timeframe that Maul has to build his criminal empire, which was admittedly quite rushed in the Mauldalore arc.

How ironic that by canceling TCW now, we can at least better explain the 1 to 2-year gap, though. Had they proceeded with complete Seasons 6-8, it would have to go straight into the Sieges and the beginning of RotS. At least now it is easier to reconcile some of the TCW events with pre-established Clone Wars EU, like putting the Medstar novels featuring Barriss during the 1-2 year time gap, or shortly afterward (sometime before or during Season 4).
