Rumor Star Wars Episode VII to be filmed in Scotland

Sneak Peak at the new Dave Filoni directed project, Star Wars: Inglourious Jedi Basterds. Much like the original IG in which stuff that didn't historically happen, did happen. (Such as killing Hitler in a movie theater.) In this movie, Obi-Wan did buy those death sticks. The results were... unpleasant:

Scotland could make for a great location for some scenes from Episode VII. As another poster commented, Scotland has some stunning landscapes. As this is based on something in The Sun, I wouldn't take it as fact, but you never know ... until you do know. After all, Game of Thrones is shot in Northern Ireland.

 

I know luke's son will continue the family tradition of whining. I guess he'll be whining about his freedom.

Have bagged every location site with the exception of shots in Norway this if it turns out to be true will be a wee bit easier as I'm under an hour from mountains of Scotland.

 

Speaking of which, that would be the place to film any scenes that might take place on Dellalt.

I think they used African ones. We have much smaller elephants compared to them.

There's a link to wikipedia Epi. VII that also says filming will begin behind a shopping Mall in Sheffield?, England, in an abandoned quarry. A quarry that has been used in other films.

I love Scotland. The article mentioned a Mountain Planet. Interesting. I wonder just how far they are in the pre-production/writing of the script.

 

I hope they do some stuff in Fox Studios in Sydney still, since this time around I know somebody who works there

I think they're Asian Elephants; Banthas aren't as big as African Elephants. Besides, African Elephants are a lot less cooperative about being ridden.
