What are some of your favorite visual moments of the prequel trilogy? I'll name a few of my but this is by no means all of them:

    TPM:

    The first shot of Theed
Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon and Jar Jar swimming toward Otoh Gunga
The reveal of the podrace stadium
Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon looking out at the sunset on Coruscant

    AOTC:

The fog shrouded surface of Coruscant
    Obi-Wan's star map
    The Theed courtyard
    The reveal of Kamino
Anakin and Padme's shadow's on the homestead
The sunsetting on the Republic as the Senate gives Palpatine emergency powers
The gunships rising out of the arena on Geonosis and revealing the battle
The Clone Troopers boarding their ships at the end

    ROTS

The reveal of the space battle over Coruscant
The Invisible Hand burning up in the atmosphere
    Squid Lake
The Mustafar sun obscured by the billowing smoke as Anakin looks on
The view outside the Tantive IV's cockpit window as it enters the Coruscant atmosphere and travels all the way down to the surface

That's what comes to mind right now. How about everybody else?

Coruscant, especially the dusk and sunset scenes. Still amazes me how Lucas was able to craft the type of aching vastness here that I expect out of Borgesian literary fantasy rather than frenetic space opera. Also am particularly moved by the shot of Anakin and Padme embracing before he departs to track down the Tuskens. Visually Padme exists in harmony with the calm day sky, and I can't help but feel the shot is appropriately haunting given that in many ways this is the last moment of peace Anakin will have until he looks on his son with his own eyes.

Everything about Kamino does it for me. Also the scene at the end of AOTC where we see a large number of clone troopers and ships. I think my favourite of them all is the distance shot of Yoda and Sidious dueling as the Chancellor's podium rises up into the senate chamber. Not exactly a landscape shot or anything, but the setting blew me away.

My favorite visual, possibly in the whole saga:

Vader on Mustafar, looking out at the eclipsed sun in the dark, heavily clouded sky. A perfect parallel to Luke and his two suns, in a cloudless sky.

The asteroid belt chase scene from AOTC is always a stand out for me.

Now that I think about it, I always loved that space battle out of the PT. I love when they fly through the asteroid's core and the light from the laser reflecting off of the walls.

Honestly, every location of the Prequels was memorable in its own right. There was always the right call of when to use greenscreens or on location filming.

The Phantom Menace probably has the most memorable visuals, but that just might be due to the impact of it being the first. The Coruscant sunset and the wide shots of the Galactic Senate were simply amazing.

PT is full of visual treats, I'll name just a few of them.
    - Otoh Gunga and the pod-race.
    - Coruscant night speeder chase. This one's amazing.
    - Obi-Wan watching the clone army on Kamino. I'll quote audio commentary: Such a Star Wars moment.
    - Geonosis. The droid factory, the arena, the battle outside.
    - ROTS' opening space battle. Still unbeatable.
    - Panoramic views of Coruscant in ROTS. Like a helicopter shots, beautiful.
    - Mustafar. Like a metaphor of hell.

    The Phantom Menace
-The Trade Federation action scenes (melting a door with a lightsaber is still in my top 10 awesome Star Wars moments)
    -Theed Invasion
    -Mos Espa Exteriors
-Theed Reactor Fight (I love how it transitions from the beautiful look of the palace to this fantasy setting with large platforms and towers of light)

    Attack Of The Clones
    -Coruscant Chase
    -Lower Level Coruscant
    -Rain Battle with Jango
-Asteroid Chase (The sound design on the Slave I mines alone is awesome and the effects as they ripple away rock is great)
    -Anakin on speeder at sunset
    -Geonosis ground battle/arena

    Revenge Of The Sith
    -Opening battle long pan shot
-Obi Wan flipping out of his crashing ship and taking out droids
-The crash landing (I still love the visuals of the fire ships for some reason)
-Utapau scenes (cool! a sinkhole planet!)
    -Mustafar/Senate fight

I love this one as well. The seismic charges are a great combination of sound and visual. I also love the shot when they go inside the asteroid.

Things like that make me even more sad that they canned the 3-D releases.

Rain drenched Coruscant as Palpatine brings Anakin into the medical facility in ROTS is another of my favorites. It sets the somber mood perfectly and I love the way it looks against Anakin's charred body.

I always loved the planets. I thought they were beautuful and evocative. They really immersed you in the films.

I like the contrast in Naboo and Mustafar. Plus Coruscant has some moments that are visually rich.

I love this shot of Utapau and all its moons. For some reason I've always thought of Utapau as one of the most alien of worlds we visit in Star Wars.

The quick glimpse we have of Alderaan is so beautiful. It really shows the contrast between where Luke grew up and where Leia grew up perfectly.

I love this shot of Yoda. It shows so much power. Size matters not, indeed! :p

    All of them.

Really, there are too many to even sit and try to list in these beautiful films.

The most visually stunning films of all time.

    Love the images being posted.

I loved the fact that we actually visited Alderaan in ROTS and it was as beautiful as I imagined since ANH, a shame we couldn't have spent a bit more time there. Makes it's destruction in ANH all the more heartbreaking.[IMG]
