Amph What book are you reading right now?

This is my first. It's very good so far. I've heard good things before, and am only just now getting to him. I will definitely be adding more of his work iro my rotation.

 

Please read Lamb next, and let me know what you think of it. First book I read by him junior year of high school.

Yeah, I saw it on Goodreads and even without knowing the Beastly story, a person could get into it

 

Finished The Unseen Queen and about to start The Swarm War.

 

Ugh - one of my least favorite series..

 

I've gone back and forth from liking to hating to somewhat liking it. Planet of Twilight is worse though not by much. Such a letdown after TUF. Unseen Queen is better than Joiner King. Can't stand the bugs in TJK. TUQ is better.

The majority of my Babylonian knowledge comes from the book Snow Crash.

I can't believe I saw the p-word (for urination) and the b-word (for female dog) in a SW book.

Why would you want to reread it? I'm only reading it to see how it meshes with LOTF and FOTJ.

 

As weird as it sounds, to see if it's as bad as I remember it.

Also, the same as you - to see how much I can decipher about Jacen's eventual downfall.

 

Oh it is. The bugs are even more disturbing to me than they were on previous read throughs. The whole fall thing is really similar to Anakin's in ROTS.

 

Not the first time I've seen the word "piss" used in a Star Wars novel,actually. Go read Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter.

 

Do you actually need to read them before Legacy of the Force or not?

 

Is it interesting? Who's the author? I'm always looking for good historical nonfiction books that I say I'm going to read and never get around to ...

Planet of Twilight was the worst.

 

Not really. They're a self contained trilogy to allow you to decompress a little bit after NJO.

 

So once I've finished the NJO I should jump straight to Legacy of the Force?

 

Also finished reading Darth Plagueis. It was a pretty good book. And though I dont think I said I was reading it I finished Tanith Low and the Maleficent Seven yesterday. It was a nice little book to bridge the gap between Kingdom of the Wicked and the next Skulduggery Pleasant book.
