Wow, Ultra-Humanite, the first recurring comic-book supervillain. Talk about old-school.

But I'm afraid I have to go with the ruler of Latveria for this one, Doom is too smart and too awesome to be beaten by that relic. He could build a device to stop UH taking over his mind, and then do it to him just for lols

Ah, a golden age silly villain. Precursor to Luthor. He's actually rather badass and troublesome. Well, Doom always gets away. Once was able to steal the Beyonder's powers. And he is nerfed all to hell. So Doom wins.

The Ultra-Humanite cannot hope to stand against the unbridled wrath of Doom unleashed.

Edit: With the possible exception of the Ultra-Humanite from John Byrne's Generations, who basically IS Dr. Doom. But that's an alternate universe so nuts to that.

I am strongly disposed in favor of anyone who wants to rid the world of superheroes with Stretch Armstrong powers, because that's completely idiotic and shouldn't exist. That said, does anyone have something to add about the monkey man?

Yes, but Jack Cole, John Broome, Carmine Infantino, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby disagreed with you long before you AND Stretch were born, so your observations are duly noted and...not much else, really.

    Doom.....but here's why.

A friend and former co-worker needed a ride to a doctor's office to get a colonoscopy. When his name was called, a Vietnamese doctor came over to introduce himself and said, "Hello Mr. Kort, I'm Dr. Duem."

"Duem" is pronounced "Doom." I cracked the hell up and waited outside.

Let's not even pretend we need final votes.

    Doom in a sweep.

Iron Man in the winners, still justified by my "Well my Shepard seriously sucks at solo combat" rationale.

Gladiator in the losers because ugh, The Silmarillion, ugh.

Tough decision on the first one, but Shepard has faced tougher enemies than a guy in a flying metal suit so I'll go with him (especially if he has biotics).

    Morgoth over Gladiator
