I just finished my rereading of Starfighters of Adumar today, so now the only X-wing book I still haven't read is Mercy Kill, and I have now moved on to a rereading of Before the Storm, the first book of the Black Fleet Crisis Trilogy.

This is my first rereading of my Bantam favorites, the X-wing series, the Thrawn Trilogy, I, Jedi, the Black Fleet Crisis Trilogy, and the Hand of Thrawn Duology, since I had only read them through the library previously.

I did plan on re-reading the x-wing series last year, but events screwed things up and I had to pack all my books away due to a forced move. Still recovering from it... and although I was itching to read Mercy Kill, I didn't want to do that until I re-read the others. This series is by far my favourite in the EU. I, Jedi is also on of my favourites too, but I've not even got my copy of that book at the moment. I am hoping that there will be more X-Wing books, but starting where Isard's Revenge and Solo Command left off - there are some story lines which I don't think were quite tied up.

Me either, I would have at very least put my name on the waiting list at the library. That's what I am doing for Crucible, since I am not sure I even want to own it.

Yeah, me too. I have no extra money for a while, since I pranged my car. Insurance will pay most of it, but I still have to pay the excess, and I don't have a huge income.

I actually have a gift card I could use to buy the book. Just unsure if I really want it. Oddly enough I do want to read it.

Well, it's a very important book, and if done well, could be great. It's that if that's so important.

I was in a second-hand book shop the other day, and I checked their sci-fi section (purely force of habit, since they never have any Star Wars books, ever!) Lo and behold, a whole shelf of them! Thrawn Trilogy, Hand of Thrawn, Jedi Academy, Black Fleet Crisis - and 8 of the X-wing books! (No Starfighters or Mercy Kill.) I nearly bought all of them, despite the fact that I have the entire series at home. I am, however, tempted to go back and grab Vision of the Future, since my copy (inherited from my brother Luke) is rather beat up from being carried EVERYWHERE. And Specter of the Past, since that's paperback, and I've got the hardcover, and... Yeah, you get the picture, I'm sure.

I and several people I know used to "rescue" cd's we already had from used cd stores. I now have 5 copies of some cd's and I can not will not part with them. Unless I thought they were going to a good home. Be careful ;)
