United fans need to get used to not scoring as many goals as their side's performance warrants. :p

I want to see Scholes volley one in from a corner and get a yellow card for a mistimed tackle.

Haha, Ferdinand. Only way that could have been better is if it were Giggs.

Nice on Man U, giving the trophy to Fergie to lift. Well played!

But LOL @ Rooney. Hardly got a glance from Fergie!

Looking like Wigan will go down. Pity.

EDIT: If Wigan win both of their remaining games, any of the current 11th-17th could go down, right?

EDITEDIT: nevermind, Wigan play Villa in the last game so if they win that no one above Villa can go down., I think.

Nice to see Clint Dempsey at least temporarily suspend his performance as the invisible man and deliver a great match for Spurs today. Need Wigan to take points off Arsenal, so Spurs can control their CL destiny. Of course, Wigan need all three points for it to matter.

13th and above are safe. Because of the Wigan v Villa match, 41 points is now guaranteed safety.

If Wigan don't beat Arsenal on Tuesday then Wigan are relegated. Wigan need to win both their games and hope other results go in their favour.

Yeah, I mentioned that they need to win both. I just noticed that 3 teams are on 41 pts and 3 are on 40 pts and was wondering if any of 11th - 17th could get relegated. But Wigan play Villa so that's not the case.

Here's the Watford finish, complete with dancing Zola. Quality rough, found on Deadspin.

Awesome stuff from Watford given the apparent "soft" penalty.

And yes, Rooney has said this before. If he doesn't want to play then get rid. Man U rolled over before in the same way Mancini did with Tevez and the same way Liverpool do with Suarez (and Chelsea with Terry to an extent). No player is bigger than the club. Cash in and get rid.

Well, Ferguson brought Rooney in (causing an almighty fuss in the process) so there's probably a degree of pride associated with not letting the player go under his watch. Moyes, on the other hand, has no such connection to Rooney. So he'll probably cut him loose as soon as possible.

Despite initial concerns about his injury ahead of the Europa final, Terry is going to be available for the celebrations as he has been able to get his kit on underneath his suit.

Rooney will only hurt himself by leaving, because he's less likely to be as successful if he goes anywhere else.

I rather thought Mancini would go, there was me thinking City's owners might be more sensible than Abramovich and not sack the guy who got the club its first trophies for like 400 years. Did Ferguson's reign teach nothing? United finished empty-handed last season and Ferguson didn't get the boot, and United came back stronger to win next season.

We're used to that already, should be winning by three or four not by barely 1 :p

He's let plenty of players go under his watch, what are you talking about? It won't be hard for The Moysiah to let him go, after settling out of court on those libel claims.

He might change his mind again, he seems to do it for attention or more money.

As for Scholes - He is one of the greats but he should have stayed retired the first time. Always amazed the guy never learned to tackle properly despite his great awareness in the game.
Maybe Giggs should go with him, after all he's only ever known one manager and it would be a good way to go.
