I know the Hendrix cover is iconic and even Bob Dylan admits it's better than his version and whatever, but, like, The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest was the best song on that album. And that also has a cover by a different rock legend.

So, on a completely unrelated note, I've been taking my first weekend of summer to revisit an old favorite series of mine, Summon Night. It's an action RPG where you forge your own weapons, press A repeatedly to win, and is chalked full of cliché cheesy JRPG archetypes and, in my particular play-through, bizarre love triangles. It is, in sum, just as good as I remember it!

Unfortunately the combat is outrageously fun, and thus I am consequently in a perpetual state of being over leveled.

 

Well, it had to happen eventually - Demon Knights comes to an end in August.

 

Like I said in the chat, that one's a mercy kill. Freaking give me the shotgun, it was my favorite, I'll do it.

 

On the plus side, Lamborghini's latest concept car is THE BATMOBILE.

Another election come and gone and I still don't know what anyone stands for.

 

I was amused.

 

So I recently acquired a copy of the DS remake of Dragon Quest V, one of my all-time favorite roleplaying games (Although, ironically, my second favorite game in any genre is a different game from the franchise, Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior III), and as it's summer break and, in particular, the early extreme relaxation portion of summer break, there is only one possible course of action:

I haven't had much wifi access lately (blame my parents) so I haven't been able to keep up to date

 

I wasn't kidding when I said

but the good news is I'm on the final big grind of the game. My posting will certainly pick up once it becomes a convenient study break circa next week.

 

Its not quite Dragon Quest, but I've been slightly distracted of late as well....
