My bachelorette party is tomorrow night at a local resort/casino.

I foresee many plastic penii in my future.

 

Our Saturday track meet got cancelled, so we're celebrating my friend's 21st two days in a row.

 

I never thought a Tier 3 position would open at work. Today, a position opened and I managed to get an interview for it on Wednesday!

Exactly. Given Strilo 's track record as mod, I'd expect him to start getting into arguments with the other guests, telling them they're doing the conga line wrong.

Today is the 17th of May, Norway's Constitution Day. Hooray!

Today, you will see a sea of Norwegian flags in every town in Norway, converging to their town squares to celebrate the day Denmark lost Norway in a bet and had to hand it over to Sweden.


I'm joking. But it's true that it's not Norway's independence day per se that they celebrate, but rather the adoption of their own constitution. They were allowed to do that under the more favorable terms of union they were afforded by the Swedes, compared to their previous status as a vassal state under the Danes.

 

I must be more tired than I thought because I read that as "the day Denmark lost Norway in a bed."

 

In my opinion, that guy is full of crap.
