I cannot go all the way through with these pieces unfortunately. That would def be the best way to secure the greeblies. They are just too small and the front has SO much detail!

Do I need to drill the hole first or can I slowly just set the screw with a cordless screwdriver?

a small pilot hole is never a bad idea. If the pieces are that small you may want to use a hand screwdriver and go extra slow and careful

Here is a photo of a finished product- LINK Some of the pieces are the size of the palm of my hand.
The small rods will be sewn into place, the large ones will be the ones attached with screws. I am just worried about cracking the resin.

Thank you all for your help!

you could attach something else to the webbing and then glue the resin to the part you attached. I used a similar technique on my imperial crewman hat.

Costuming has fell out of favor with me at the moment, but in a little bit I might try to throw together a cool lookin' smuggler. Probably will have to wait until I actually get money and can grow more sufficient sideburns. Plan for the debut at next Celebration (probably 2014)

A good choice that allows a lot of room to personalize and stay within a budget. I've seen costumers recycle pieces of various costumes to make a different costume.

I think Vader needs a Captain Rex. I've been kicking it around a bit and after talking with Jon over the weekend I may consider it a bit more. Only thing is I'm not a fan of the AotC armor, I would be more inclined to do a custom Capt Rex based on the RotS Armor...........just something else to add to my plate.

That, and again after talking with Jon over the weekend, I'm liking his Jedi Guardian thing, the whole concept is interesting to me ;)

I'd do a Peter Griffin\Chris Griffin TK......Although I am sure eventually the Empire had to have overweight Tk's that look like Wuher the bartender.....

    Random question here:

Does anyone have an E11 Blaster that's already 501st approved? I bought a Doopy Do's Resin Kit, but I'm a little bit nervous to start glueing it together without some sort of correct reference to look at.

    OR

Is there a perfect reference thread out there that I have somehow missed with all my searches of The Blaster Builders Club, The RPF, and WhiteArmor.net? Any direction would be super helpful. Thanks!

I have a Nerf gun that's NR approved.

I also built an E-11 using PVC, glue, pieces of styrene, some wood, nylon spacers, screws, aluminum bar stock and a scope that I found somewhere. I call it the "E-11-blaster-that-I-built-because-I-couldn't-afford-to-buy-the-real-thing-inator"

And now I sound like that pharmacist guy. Hey! Where's Perry?

Bobby, from my experience, I had no requirements to meet with a blaster for my approvals. It could be different with a TK, but honestly the current approved looks more at the costume.

Now, to troop here with North Ridge, you have no worries with a blaster.

Short and sweet, start trimming that plastic!

    Cards ordered. CHECK.
Lightsaber blade and tip ordered. CHECK.
    Worbla ordered. CHECK.

Now for my next trick, to be at two baseball games at the same time, located on opposite ends of Clarence! I should have a Wonder Woman costume for this! Hmm.... [face_thinking]
