CT Favorite side charecters in ESB?.

1. General Veers: to me, he's one of the only competent members of the Imperial Navy and actually completed a task.

2. Boba Fett: he was one of my fave charecters in the OT, until he arrived in the prequels, .

3. Han Solo in Hoth gear: Alright, not a charecter, but I loved that figure, .

4. The AT-AT drivers: Silent and emotionless.

 

However, not as iconic, I always felt the Snowtroopers to look far more menacing than your standard Stormtrooper.

And of course there's Hobbie, repeat, there's Hobbie.

4-LOM, the AT-AT drivers, the Snowtroopers, and I always thought Ugnaughts were cooler than Jawas or Ewoks lol. I'd list Boba Fett in there, but he becomes kind of a main character at the end.

No, he was not disposing of Rebellion Contacts; he was stealing an ice cream maker.

I love the way he snarled at Piett after hearing him refer to bounty hunters as "scum."

 

Has to be the Tauntauns...the scene at the start of the film with Luke riding his across the snow is so cool (no pun intended)

Watching it for the first time I was like "what the heck is that" and once again GL had drawn me in to his fantastic universe.

 

Space worm. Pretty awesome how it "snuck up" on not only the characters but also the audience.

 

Piett is cool. He stands bravely at the end of ESB ready to die. He appears to be getting ready to say something to Vader; perhaps an apology. He doesn't blame someelse which he could have and might even be his right to blame someone else for the Falcon going into hyperspace.

Veers is cool. He knows when to push Vader. Then he is down on Hoth leading his men like a boss and then destroys Echo Base's Power Generator. He doesn't give orders from some command post far away and he targeted the generator and fired the guns himself (apparently). He could have made one of those pilots do it for him. But he is a true leader.

Rebel Pilots are cool. They put their heads together (figuratively of course) to take out the Imperial war equipment.

Those poor Rebel soldiers trying to take down/hold off the Imperial Walkers. And the pilots/gunners of the Imp Walkers are just cutting them down and (in one draft) crushing them under them. They get brownie points for bravery.

If I were to accept the possibility that he counts as a side character instead of the hero that isn't focused on due to genre, I would say Lando.

So much wisdom. "Wars, not make one great". Right there he is saying killing or being a warrior or winning wars is what makes you great, rather Greatness is based on well greater things than that.

 

Yeah...... but is he a side character?
