    All holidays are just an excuse to have the day off, in your case because the banks wanted it, in our case because we're supposed to think about dead people the weekend all the pools open. (Helllooo, summer in the Carolinas.)

    I have to say that last summer on LACWAC was some of the best fun I've had on a message board, even though summers here get a bad rap. We won't have the Olympics (and Fanboy's awesome commentary on them) this year but maybe there will be some news/leaks with the Rebels series coming out.

    Oh my goodness, New Zealand has been so cold lately! The past few days in Auckland have been thunderstorms, hailstones and heavy rain... I want to get into bed but my bed feels like a sheet of ice... This is one of the reasons why I want to move to Aussie.

    Oh, it's all torrents and rapid temperature changes here right now ... in May. Feels more like 'our' November to me. Not what I want at all!

    On another note, I got re-elected today (nothing serious - workers' council, that's all). Quite a surprise, actually, as I expected to remain a one-termer, being the flippant hare-brain that I usually am. But my recurring morning lectures consisting of nothing but iconoclastic humor seem to have fallen on fertile ground with some folks :p.
