    While I don't mind being in first I have to agree with Count Yubnub. No one really got the question wrong because it wasn't asked correctly. I think the points should reset to what they were before.

    I'd would go with the first one. It keeps the rankings the same but gives everyone a complementary point for the error and we don't have to change the rules or anything.
