Should there be some Ewoks in the new movies? Could it work?

I'd definitely say yes to Ewoks in the ST, but not as main characters. Maybe a few as background characters and that could also be a nice way to tie in the new trilogy with ROTJ and the the alliance between the Rebel Alliance and the Ewoks.

Like what happened in the EU, I could see a few Ewoks having left the forest moon with the Rebels and a few could now more directly be a part of the new Republic (if there'll be any senate scenes, Ewok senators could be a possibility).

I concur. I would very much like to see an Ewok senator. All Abrams has to do is show him in one shot during a senate scene and that's it. A nice nod to fans that happened to like the Ewoks.

My only problem with Ewoks was that battle, and how it basically turned into teddy bears beating up the keystone cops. If they put Ewoks into the new movie that isn't ridiculous, I'd be fine with it. I don't have a problem with the concept of Ewoks, just that battle

The main villain should be a Sith Lord who actually happens to be three Ewok Sith Lords who stand on each other's shoulders and wear a long cloak to seem like one big person.

And then when Luke shows up to fight, they separate and swarm!

It would be the best saber fight ever.

Fear as a weapon, eh? I like that idea.

Just when Luke thinks he's getting the upper hand, Ewok #2 hides behind Luke's knees as Ewok #1 pushes him backward, sending Luke sprawling to the floor. Ewok #3 then lunges for the death blow...........................

I liked the battle, but it is quite susceptible to riffing. Case in point:

It would certainly be the funniest saber fight.

It would all be Luke's fault, requiring his own personal redemption. These 3 Ewoks were traumatized when Luke used fear of a floating golden deity to make them set their dinner free. Their terror ignited their succumbing to the Dark Side.

Actually, its revealed half way through the film that the three Sith Ewoks turned to the dark side after the Endor Holocaust.

I would like those three Ewoks to be Princess Kneesaa, Latara and Malani.

Admittedly, an Ewok Jedi among the Jedi that Luke has trained/is training could be pretty cool and would add some diversity as well.

An Ewok Jedi could be quite humorous as long as they stay away from Jar Jar style humor.

OK, so I just got back from running a quick errand at a local store. This imagined "Sith ewoks vs. Luke" scene popped into my head while walking in the store and I had to fight laughing all by myself.

Nothing against seeing Ewoks, just don't make them ridiculous like in ROTJ.

I've nothing against good guys winning, but an army of primitives bears against a legion of the Emperor's best soldiers with speeder bikes and AT-ST is just a no-contest. Cmon, that's like Native Americans on horses with bows & arrows & spears vs the modern US Army's tank division supported by Black Ops.
It's just not believable, at all.
