Well remember when Galen Marek Force-pulled a Star Destroyer down on Raxus Prime? Palpatine said "good idea!" and did the same to Coruscant. :p

No, really, I have no idea. But it probably took a lot of secrecy and planning, and a whole lot of convenient eye-turning from the citizens on those levels (probably conducted by Armand Isard or someone of equal power).

Except for the millions of civvies that would've been killed in the crash, though I doubt Palps cared...

That guy should've been capped from the start.

Question. If it was crashed to get into that position, how was it undamaged and able to fly as well as it did when it blasted through the Coruscant planetary shields?

And yet they couldn't just take apart the cities and place the ship there, and then rebuild the city over it...

Nope. Corran thinks about how it was done at one point. But any way it was done, bad things happened to the people who knew.

Wookieepedia cites Starships of the Galaxy: Saga Edition as the source for it being disguised as a planetary shield generator, and lowered in.

Hey everybody. Latest discussion in the EU Senate is about a Character Discussion Thread. This thread will be designed to shine the limelight on some of the under-appreciated characters of our Expanded Universe. Different clubs and groups will be given chances to lead the topic on a rotating basis. Anyone is able to participate. Each topic/character will be given a two week window, after which a different club/group gets to hold forth on their chosen subject.

A first suggestion was focusing on some of the lesser known pilots in Rogue Squadron. Instead of, say, Wedge or Tycho, we talk about Lujayne Forge or Riv Shiel.

Any comments, suggestions, support or random thoughts would be more than welcome. :) Feel free to discuss here in the thread, or PM me.

s65horsey Did I get all of that right? Please correct me if I didn't...

    Naturally!

What of the idea of starting with some of the more obscure characters and working up to the ones that survived/were mentioned outside of the X-Wing series? Or do you think it would work better the other way around?

Ive only just got To the general part of The X-wing series where she was designated as the Rogue Squadron traitor, but i would like a broader discussion on Erisi Dralit :D. Also Nawara Ven, Ooryl Qyyrg, Aryn (forgot her last name. Shes the bothan that hooks up With gavin :p), and Emtrey have intrigued me and would like a bigger talk About them.

Funny story when it was first Revealed that There was an imperial spy in Rogue Squadron, I really thought the spy was Emtrey :p

I thought it was Emtrey too for a while.....to discuss characters more obscure, I'd have to re read the books and I can't see that happening anytime soon! BUT, I am happy to listen and add if I have anything to add!

You know, just yesterday I decided that I was going to start contradicting this answer with the answer: "With wild abandon."

Yup, you did well, Katana! I want to reiterate that even if you don't want to run the discussion, coming up with a suggestion is helpful because I can easily con one of the Lit guys into leading the discussion if need be.

Am I the only one who wants a book or novella or SOMETHING dealing with Myn and Lara/Gara/Kirney meeting up again after the events of Solo Command? I know they do eventually, but this has a Starfighters level of romantic tension possibilities.

I can TOTALLY see Myn resigning after Book 8. He's seen way too much.

If Allston wrote nothing else but books and stories about what happened to all the other Wraiths, I would be very happy. It's something about how he draws his characters, always leaving you wanting more because you understand their motivations.
