Agreed! I'd like Stackpole to write more, too - I like his turns of phrase!

I liked it too Katana :) Great idea SnubJockey!

I think all of these are great suggestions! I especially like Erisi!

I also thought Emtrey might be the spy.

I have to say, I thought Emtrey was bad too. Definitely a jerk. :p

Yub Yub, Chancellor," A Wraith Squadron/SW Prequel VS Response

Pure glorious crackfic and a response to a versus question on another board, "What would happen if Wraith Squadron was transported back to the Prequel Era and had to stop Palpatine.

I wrote it for fun. Maybe it should go here as well. Warning. Spoilers for all books (RE: Who dies)

    Hope you folks like it.

You know what I would pay money for... A Wraith Squadron Trilogy, concurrent with Dark Empire.

Seriously, that'd just be awesome on so many levels... Huge scale, dealing with Dark Siders, and Wraith Squadron in the middle of it doing various things to drive the Reborn Emperor completely insane.

You know what sounded neat? A comic book series with steam powered spaceships and the repeatedly reincarnated Emperor Palpatine thus negating any of Vader's sacrifice in Jedi.

I hear they were doing sequels to the Matrix as well, but somehow they never materialized.

    Denial?

    Me?

Never. Look, it's an American flag![face_flag]

It's a great Idea but I've always wanted to see the Wraiths handle rogue (Small "R") Warlords and depose sector moffs or something (Sort of the stuff we saw in the flashbacks in Mercy Kill.) An entire book of that would be just. GRAVY.

This is why there's fanfiction :p I've been thinking of trying my hand at some fab four adventures but I don't know that it'd be to anyone's taste.

Yes please! Good Wedge/Iella makes me go all fuzzy. (I'm a dude) The rest of the four are a great bonus.

(I did write one where the Adumar Crew Plus Iella and Winter get chucked into the Unknown Regions and meet up with the NuBSG crew. Still working on that one. SOOO many plot threads.)

Haha, awesome. I go on Wes and Hobbie ideas every now and then, but they're not particularly exciting ideas. I like to write more serious stuff, looking at how the characters really handle the war and friends dying and such >.>

IMO, Wes is one of the most tragic characters in the SWEU. He's just sort of learned to live with it. And not a lot's been done with Hobbie and his various prosthetic issues.

Exactly. I'd love to write up Wes and Hobbie's time as trainers, it must have sucked for them to be separated from the Rogues, and then train kids just to send them off to die. Talon Squadron's loss would have hurt more than just Myn.

And don't get me started on Tycho. My poor broken boys *squishes them*

I have this sort of headcanon that most of the able-bodied Alderaanian Survivors in the Alliance immediately requested frontline combat assignments for the duration of the war.

Yeah, I can see that. At least in the Rebellion they would have had support, friends who'd help them through, since the Alliance was so tight knit at the time.

(I could go like this for hours but I have plans to visit Castel St Angelo today so I'm off!)

I believe she's on holiday in Italy at the moment.

I just want them to write the sequel to Mercy Kill! That had the potential to reboot a glorious series!

I'd be up for writing any time period Allston is allowed to or willing to write in! I couldn't even decide what I'd want more, Wes and Hobbie or the new Wraiths. Either or would be good with me.

While I enjoyed Mercy Kill, it didn't inspire ideas like the original 9 did for me. *shrug* If I do write anything I'll be sure to let you know, not enough x-wing series fic.

Yes, holiday in Roma. Back in my room now after severe dehydration from being out 2 hours.

    So x-wings and things...

How about a question: favourite starfighters (open to all of SW history and factions) and why. Favourite imp ships too, don't leave them out :p

Love the X-wings - the shape of them, and of course their status in the movies got me. Then they extended them into an entire series and made me fall in love with their pilots. I also like the TIE Defenders.

I am going top surprise everyone and say my favorite is the Bes'uliik starfighter. :p After that would be the StarViper (it's just so ugly, I have to like it). The X-Wing would be third after those.

For Imperial fighters, I never liked the TIE series of fighters, but the Xg-1 Gunboat was always an Imp craft that I enjoyed.
